We went to Barnetby to catch the new Trostre works run carrying metal tin plates using 66053 from DB Cargo. We have a great session spotting with many passes from Biomass trains, Iron Ore trains, and Coal Trains operated by Db Cargo. Sadly no more coal from Ratcliffe anymore that power station is closing down soon.

I worked next to DB schenker on Immingham docks years ago and I never ever got bored listening to them all day shunting up and down that yard

The paint work on those Drax trains must have cost a small fortune. Imagine the upkeep costs too!
I love the wagon designs. A guy who works on the biomass told me that biomass explodes if it gets wet. Not sure about how true that is. But I love the smell when it goes past.

On the Iron ore train, was does SANTON FOT refer too ? Does anyone know please?
Santon is the iron ore works on Scunthorpe steel works. I think FOT stands for Foreign Ore Terminal.
