At its core, the story of The Hunger Games is about the power of one person to change the world.
Set in the future remnants of the USA in a new nation called Panem, one male and one female "tribute" between the ages of 11 and 18 from each of Panem's twelve districts is forced to participate in an annual competition called the Hunger Games, which is broadcast live throughout the country for the entertainment of the Capitol's wealthy residents.
Now, bestselling author Suzanne Collins and the world of The Hunger Games return in her latest addition to the series: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
The way she just pockets the cat lmfao
She wouldn't do it for anyone else but Prim.
She didn't really love the cat. Prim did
In one of the films she said to the furball that she will cook it.
It's unbelievable how less the people have made progress in society. With all the scarcity of food and the name put into the draw when the family needs additional food....
They have pets? Unbelievable. 😕
@@gluecksdrache2054Cats have been considered valuable pets from ancient times because they can pretty much feed themselves and they keep pests down, which protects valuable food stores. In fact in the books the only way Katniss is able to negotiate keeping Buttercup for Prim is by agreeing they’ll take a near surface apartment with a tiny above ground window, so Buttercup can go hunt for his own food and do his business outside. This only changes when they end up locked in the bunkers during Snow’s bombing of 13, when pretty much everyone in the bunker ends up adopting Buttercup as a sort of emotional support animal, delighting in how “cute” and “clever” he is, which Katniss decides has to be some sort of mass delusion brought on by stress. In any case Buttercup ended up being such a morale boost that even the ultra frugal 13 ended up giving him his own rations of food, litter and batteries for a torch so people could delight in watching him trying to catch a torch beam.
@@gluecksdrache2054 wow even in dystopian fiction, cats get played with the torch beam
Even Snow's grandaughter was like "But I love Katniss, she's my hero"
Katniss' punishment for outsmarting the Games was way worse than Haymitch's in some ways. Instead of Snow killing her whole family and lover, he nearly erases District 12 off the map.
And because Snow knew the ppl there feared the forest thanks to being treated like cattle behind the fence, the slaughter was all but total.
That Gale managed to convince 915 ppl to flee into the woods was nothing short of miraculous. Sadly, it was the last good thing he did before revenge consumed him and indirectly killing Prim with one of his bombs.

Gale did nothing wrong.
@@PantsuTaigasGale didn't kill Prim and was not a villain, but yes, he did some stuff wrong.
Well, Katniss did a lot more damage than Haymitch. Snow also hated and obsessed over her a lot more (because of his history)
Gale did some bad stuff, but Primrose's death snapped him out of it. Not to mention that he had every right to be angry.
Snow’s granddaughter when he was making his announcement about what happened in the quarter quell games. She immediately undo her hair because she didn’t want to get into trouble.
Anyone else notice that Snow's grand daughter unraveled her braid when Snow said having images of the Mockingjay was treason? She was wearing that braid because of Katniss
Definitely
For those of you that say “I can’t imagine seeing those dead bodies” it’s happening as we speak in Gaza
But those in Gaza are exactly like the Capitol people. They were celebrating on the streets as their Hamas buddies were parading the corpses of jews. If Palestinians had the firepower of the Capitol, whole of Israel would look like District 12, and even worse. Never forget that Palestinians don't care for their own good and prosperity, they only want to eradicate all the jews.
And they are continuously attacking Israel so it's not as straightforward.
Except Hamas is Snow and District 12 is October 7.

@@MadaeNoir actually, I'm highly educated on this subject. I have a degree, several certificates, and work on a daily basis to bring about a peaceful solution to the crisis. I have worked with both Palestinians and Israelis. What, pray tell, have you done?
This was the only scene in the entire franchise that made me cry. I was disgusted when I saw the bodies, that’s when I broke.
I hung on in there until they revisited the scene with Gale and he broke down talking about how bitterly he regretted not forcing more people to escape with them and how maybe they could have carried at least some of the children…
Interesting how different people are. It's about the only scene in the franchise that left absolutely cold. I imagined it was my city, my neighborhood, the bones of my neighbours. Completely indifferent. That's just what war is like. But then I've been raised on such images since toddler age, my city did actually look like this after the last war, my grandparents generation grew up in those ruins.
I was shocked that they actually showed the bones, but I've always been a fan of military history docs especially things about WW2 so I've seen things just as shocking like the American Pacific Campaign which was extremely brutal. It's when Gale started talking about how he wished he'd grabbed sum of the kids that really got me bc kids are completely innocent and to think that they died that way and seeing the stray dog eating the bones really mad me more angry then sad bc I've always been the type who usually gets mad rather then sad.

Her home was gone. Most of the people she knew are now dead. Gale could only manage to save a handful of them. He is still left with a guilt that he wish he save more.

This my friends is a reality... The Horrors of Gaza.
Was that snows granddaughter who was wearing a mockingjay? Just a nice detail that even amongst his own, they believe in the cause.
I think so, I don't believe that her daughter believed in the cause as much as she was influenced by Mockinjay, because even people at the Capital were chasing "trends" and this was one of them.
In the Capitol, the mockingjay was more of a trend. Think of any kind of public idol and how they influence looks. In Catching Fire, Snow's granddaughter is complimented by Snow on her hair, and she says she's braiding it like Katniss. Snow is quite perturbed by it and you can see him realizing how dangerous the situation is.
I took her stroking her hair as a sign that even the people closest to Snow no longer feel safe inside this system. Snow's own granddaughter is now fearful of the potential consequences that come with being associated with the Mockingjay
@@hmalba7864 oh for sure, in this scene she's realizing she better not wear her hair like Katniss anymore.
Snow was probably thinking, "I got you now, Ms. Everdeen, you to Lucy Gray."

I guess snow left Katniss’s house standing so she can find the rose he left behind.
He left all of the victors village houses standing

And she also said in the books that he (snow) was in her house or he sent someone to the victors village in district 12 after the bombing to put the rose there. The rose wasn't there, when her mom and Prim fled to district 13.
I still have one big question:
What the fuck is Snows stylist wearing?
The Capitol has a variety of ridiculous fashions and that uniform seems kind of similar to the peacekeeper uniforms but just a different color
Except her house is intact. Nothing knocked off shelves by vibrations or explosive shockwaves. No windows are broken either and no black smoke or dust on the glass.
It was victor's village,, capitol didn't bomb this area
Adinov is almost correct, every house in Victor’s Village besides hers and Peetas was destroyed. A sort of “look what you could’ve had if you just behaved” kind of message.
@@PantsuTaigas The grass has been scorched and the gray snow fell here as well, but the twelve fine houses of the Victor’s Village are unscathed. I bolt into the house I lived in for the past year, slam the door closed, and lean back against it. The place seems untouched. Clean. Eerily quiet. Why did I come back to 12? How can this visit help me answer the question I can’t escape?
Can someone remind me why her district 12 was destroyed? Been so long
It was destroyed because Katniss defied the Capitol, and they had to demonstrate to the districts the price of rebellion.
Is this a new movie?
These were great, epic movies of the 2010er years. Drafted with attention to detail and IMHO with a timeless peace message.

This part of the book/film is total politically-correct nonsense. How could The Capitol destroy District 12 entirely just for revenging Katniss? District 12 is the main coal provider of The Capitol. Without the coal, the economy of The Capitol would collapse due to shortage of energy and Snow would lose the war.
I think the capitol replaced coal energy with the hydro electric dam instead. Didn’t matter since the rebels blew it up anyway
in the books it talked about how district 12’s existence was basically obsolete, as much of the capitol energy and technology was so futuristic they had no need for coal, and only the poorer districts would use it. therefore it was no real loss to the capitol and a great tool to let the districts know what would happen if they rebeled
