So, you want to be a master Helldiver, liberating the Galaxy of the scourge that is the Terminids and Automatons, we all do in service to Super Earth BUT... You have to start somewhere. We're doing something a little different here today, today we're taking a look at Helldivers 2 Comprehensive Guide for Beginners. I loved that we had so much interest in the game based off the initial review a few days and there were a ton of questions I had seen about the game in general, about certain aspects, so today I wanted to run down a brief explainer of what Helldivers really is like, things you need to know and more in between. I love CoD and typically it’s the only game I play. After playing Helldivers 2 for 40+ hours, I cannot get over the immense fun this game is, at virtually no compromise. Endless fun and no frustration had become a distant vibe somehow, Helldivers 2, as well as their team, has changed that for me. I appreciate you covering Helldivers 2! Your content is top tier and I love seeing you enjoy this game so much too!
if you like cod, theres a whole world of first person shooters waiting for you. Branch out a bit, you wont regret it

@JM.MEL_ Hunt: Showdown needs more players. It's about to get an engine overhaul. Hopefully it brings new life to the game. However it's quite different than COD or HD2.

Skip the premium battle pass and work on the free battle pass first. The premium battle pass weapons look better but they’re not. The best weapons are on the free battle pass.
It's genuinely refreshing how they've managed the battle pass system. The only thing that comes close is the apex legends one as you can save up enough to buy the battle pass over a few seasons. I'm glad these devs are challenging the current norms for how to treat a game
@@christopherborer5567 Fortnite lol it gives you enough as well and if you buy one battle pass, you can earn enough coins throughout it to buy the next one and etc.

Perhaps avoid watching too many guides though. I find it can dull my experience with a game as I'm not discovering much myself in-game.

Side note for PS5 tac-map:
Instead of having to use the D-pad to navigate around, you can just swipe the Touch-Pad instead, much easier

I’m on PS5 and when I’m diving or crouching that circle menu comes up when pushing circle. How can I stop it from showing up?
On Playstation 5 you can hold the (square) button and it will display the amount of bullets you have in the clip and you can also toggle RPM or Flashlights for some guns. Good way of seeing how many bullets left to reload.
A better way would be a simple HUD element that I could look at whenever I want. 🤷🏻♂️
It's some shortcut for PC also

Reload when the mag icon displays in Red for better reload timing. You typically won’t throw away too many rounds. Use it like a car’s gas meter, when it’s red you have to plan a gas up stat.

Good content. I’m not sure if I joined late to the party or if it was this way all the time, but holding your reload button will allow you to make changes to your weapon (semi-auto to auto, range, flashlight).
“Upwards of 4 stratagems” you can only bring in four and a booster. There are times when the specific mission or community accomplishments will award your whole team with an extra stratagem, will be denoted in the top bar next to SOS and respawn.
This may have come out with a new update/patch, but you can actually see what ammo you have left in your mag if you hold down the R button. It also lets you adjust your rate of fire for the weapon as well
This video helps alot my friends told me to try the game theyve played it quite alot and while ill say this game is definitely great with friends mine are terrible teachers and after playing like 6 missions i still and about as knowledgeable on the game as when i started probably will try some solo missions because im still not sure how to do most of the missions because my friends just speed ran them without explaining so tryna not be dead weight.
Its not their fault though i typically learn by doing so even if they tried explaining stuff i probably would have to still learn on my own time but this video really helps.

As a long follower. I’m so glad you’ve hopped away from cod, it’s terrible. The best times and fun with your friends is in he’ll diver having fun accidentally blowing each other up and completing missions

Btw you can hold the reload button to see how many rounds you have left in your weapon as well as a few other things like turn on a flashlight and change the rpm of the weapon. Different weapons have different options available.

This game has been the only thing on my mind for the last week. That and democracy of course
One of the most important things ive learned is that the mission timer running out does not mean you've failed, but it does mean you can no longer vox in stratagems.. so you're on your own, including resupplies lol it'd be up to your team if you think you could complete the mission still, or jus call in the bird now and go home

I honestly wish the game had a third enemy faction like other sci-fi games. We got the monsters and the robots, just missing the soldier/warrior types. I did a game today and we couldn't find the slot to put the harddrive, so the mission timer went to 0 and failed the mission. Another mission had us run out of reinforcements and I was the last one, then another player because I died, then another because he died, and we ended up with 3/4 players entering the ship.
There has been a leaked 3rd faction called The Illuminate that are coming from the first game.
Helldivers is INCREDIBLY fun!

You do have an actual ammo count. Press and hold the reload button. There you see the bullets in your magazine and can change settings on your equipped weapon.

Really like the gameplay, it reminds me a bit of world war z and star wars battlefront. It's just a bit grindy and i feel like i always mess up something
How about starting with how to play basics? I am in the tutorial stuck on how to launch a reinforcement strategem. I can select down (with the UP choice) and switch it to the right (with the down choice), but nothing seems to stick and letting go of the L1 button just brings up the "Use the L1 button" text again. PS5.
I was hoping for a playthrough of the tutorial first, not all the background stuff that is meaningless if I can't get through the tutorial!
Had that problem too...just go to your ship...leave toutorial...and then start it again in menu...it worked for me:)
@@MultiKojn My problem was that I didn't realize I needed to hold down the L1 (or whatever it is called) and press the arrows in order. I thought it was "press one and done". Maybe obvious for those who play these games, but I do not and it got me stuck. I had to mute my TV (to stop the annoying "move on message" while i looked up enough to figure out how to keep going.
Btw you can see your ammo and other info if you hold down the reload button

Hey Espresso and everyone. Cool video and nice to see the varied content in addition to COD. By the way, love all of the content and videos. I have a question that hopefully you or anyone in the comments can help me on. Your videos look so amazing, clear, and beautiful in 4K. I know you play on PC, but I play on PlayStation 5 and capture and render videos from the Share Factory, copy to my flashdrive, and then upload to CZcams in 4K from my laptop. They look ok, but the colors are washed out and there doesn't seem to be any High Dynamic Range (HDR) etc. Was wondering if anyone had any pointers or recommendations to have my videos look like these on Espresso's channel. Thanks everyone!

For anyone who wants to go solo, it's certainly possible but not recommended since this game doesn't have scaling so a 4 person squad will have just as many enemies as 1 person would
You can do it but it get ridiculous at higher levels and your gonna have to be running away most of the time

@@uknozeek i bought its so much fun when youre playing with friends. however playing solo is a NO go. randoms is not as bad but on ps no one seems to talk in game. so my take is if you have friends willing to play with you then definitely buy it. but if youre counting on randoms or mostly solo id say pass.

If you press and hold the R it will tell you how many rounds you have left.
Difficulty level unlocks are not tied to XP. Completing a campaign at a certain difficulty unlocks the next level.

I didn't need to watch/read any reviews of this game, this beginners guide has completely SOLD me on the game! I can't wait to buy this game when I'm able to!
I just hope the vets of the game are kind to me while I'm learning the ropes, or the meta, or even the strats of certain areas. Even though the devs are going to make changes over time, I have full confidence that the devs will make the game more fun, and even better than I'm seeing now!

i want to try this game out but i have a feeling that ill get bored after 1 week.
Looks like a fun game, but also another game where having a full time job (and doing everything at home) makes it difficult to get into.
I’ve been having a blast with this game but playing alone is very very boring and playing with randoms is harder cause there’s like 3 different play styles going at once and there has been a lot of friendly fire
I'm a hour in. Sadly I have players constantly being toxic and just killing me over and over. I don't think this is for me with randoms or a solo player. Palworld it is
just correction, you can see your ammo count holding the reload button, as well as making changes to weapon like lights, zoom level, fire mode, and rate of fire in the case of LMGs.
