    Hi! I'm the friend Kenzie mentioned down there that is creating the custom night haunt procession. They are called the choir of despair and they are a group of people who were gifted with music when they were alive, but due to complications when they died (such as being cursed or having their tongues ripped out) they were made silent in the afterlife. Well, when Nagash's necro quake went off they were brought back from the dead. They were also gifted their voices back, but only if they sing horrific moans and screams for eternity as they collect the souls that rightfully belong to Nagash.

    The old world (end times) basically had 7 mortarchs and losing one, got a new one. So I expect the masterplan of GW is to build toward that number again

    I really love the look of the new Mortarch’s model. Had to have it. And her lore and design fits very well with the customized Procession my friend’s doing. Basically, they’re made up of spirits that had their tongues cut out at death and now roam the land moaning out songs that coordinate their movements in search of powerful souls (like that of a Lord Celestant) in order to please Nagash so that he may free them. Do you think you could pair this week with discussion of how the forces of Order are combatting these? Like, the Lord-Exorcist?

    uh... my idea for my nighthaunt army was not under Nagash's control... does the lore say EVERY nighthaunt is under Nagash's thumb, or if an army rose in another Realm happened to be near a necromancer, a soulblight or something similar, could it have being snitched away and become it's own thing, instead of a force under Nagash?
    I know that Soulblights, Flesh Eater Courts and Necromancers can all raise their own armies opposed to Nagash, but it sounds like the Nighthaunts can't

    Awesome video!! Man I can’t tell you how many times I’ve replayed your videos when I’m modeling, and I always look forward to a new lore video to play at home after a long day at work. I love narrative play, and I’m currently working on some original characters to go along with this Nighthaunts and what Nagash has set forward. I have an idea for an interactive content involving viewer/followers of your channel., This idea is regarding the narrative play, having your followers share their unique characters heroes stories and pictures of their armies, they can write a short narrative introduction to their armies and some details on the special heroes. This way you can do a couple of videos introducing these themes and narrative stories while having the pictures of their work in the background.

    Will you ever do 40k vids? I used to love warhammer fantasy but I was told to hate sigmar and through you I actually think it MAY be better than fantasy. I literally listen to lore vids as a kind of asmr XD ... but yeah, thanks for getting me into the new lore. QUESTION: If you could have another hero from warhammer fantasy reincarnated in the new lore, who would it be?

    • @stephenhumphreys9149
      @stephenhumphreys9149 Před 6 lety

      I think I heard on one of 2+'s other videos he's really not feeling the love with 40k (although that may just have been playing the game rather than the background). As for the Fantasy/AoS thing, a lot of old school Fantasy players were so angry at GW destroying the Old World they decided they would hate AoS no matter what (and a shaky start to the game didn't help). Personally, I think AoS is a better setting for a wargame, and since the Old World is still around for roleplaying then the only thing I'll miss about it is that it won't get any new fiction. That and Tomb Kings, of course :-)

    • @autumn5308
      @autumn5308 Před 6 lety +1

      I never have money for the lore books to be honest but used to read them religiously in warhammer fantasy, I'm not bothered with not doing 40k cos there are plenty of other channels for that.. I have heard them all. >< I am thankful someone actually did sigmar age lore though... I phased out of playing at about the same time. I follow most lore vids on tube and its 1st joint maybe +2 tough / jumbo thick (thicc) for fantasy lore... I'm bored of Arch Warhammer now... THANK YOU +2 plus tough! There's always a new lore vid to be made though. XD Games Workshop should pay you peep.

      Hey Autumn, thank you! One day i may cover 40k lore... Here's the thing. I LOVE the 40k universe, but I dont enjoy the actual game as much. I find that if Im not actively playing games, then my excitement for recording dwindles. So it's in the back seat for now, but I'm sure some day it'll come back around.

      Dont let sheep sway you, it's actually alot better for the range to flourish, unless being an elite gamer is more important to you. Plus if money is an issue it's more affordable in terms of having a game. If anything else the models and lore should really be the biggest thing imo but that's just me.

    Great video but what I don't understand that does the Nightaunt army only consist of human souls or does it also include duardin, greenskin and ogor souls as well. Fantastic video and looking forward to the rest of them this week.

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  Před 6 lety +4

      Hey Cormac! Thank you for watching :) As to your question: We arent really sure. We know from the Deepkin battletiome that Orrucks and other creatures/races all have souls (they tried to steal them all for their purposes) but there's something special about the human soul. We've seen in Books that Nagash can raise gargants, ogres etc, so I'm led to believe that their souls exist in Shyish.
      Also keep in mind that the models we see on the table arent necessarily what that creature/person looked like in life. Nagash twists souls and warps them to suit his purposes.

    I’m thinking about starting an AOS army but I’m not sure where to start as most factions are fairly interesting and I’m debating Flesh Eaters courts or BeastClaw raiders.

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  Před 6 lety

      Both great choices and both have AMAZING start collecting boxes! My suggestion is to think about how you like to play games and what you'd be willing to build and paint. Beastclaw are a very tough army, few models but each has a lot of health. Very aggressive playstyle and you have to be smart with where you mve your units (Because there's so few of them). With Flesh Eaters, you have a bigger mix of small and heavy units and you can play a lot more styles of game. Their big theme is regenerating models to units, which can make it very difficult for your opponent to delete them. This is an attrition army and you can win by flooding the board with a ton of little ghouls that cover objectives while your big pieces take out key enemy units.
      In terms of painting, the beastclaw is going to be a few, big models. THe Flesh Eaters will have a lot more individual models, but has more flexibility. Just a few things to think about :) 😍

    The only problem I have with AoS is that it is becoming too much like 40k. I don’t want the uniqueness of Warhammer Fantasy to be lost and it to become a Warhammer 40k NOT IN SPAAACCCE, which is ironic because originally 40k was Fantasy in SPAAACCCE

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  Před 6 lety +2

      In terms of game design, 40k is following AOS, not the other way around ;) But I see your point, I also want the games to be distinct. FOr me, the real distinction is in list design, these games are vastly different when it comes to making an army, to the point where I've entirely given up on 40k lol.

    • @gwell2118
      @gwell2118 Před 6 lety

      @The Shushu King What do you mean? In terms or lore or game design or both?

    • @gwell2118
      @gwell2118 Před 6 lety

      @2+Tough The problem I have with 40k list design is that there is currently not enough insensitive to have non-soup armies. Because you can include two different armies in different detachments and get all the army abilities of both (strategems and all). There's no downside to doing it.
      With AOS you only get the allegiance abilities by sticking with a specific faction and their good enough to overpower soup. If you want mixed units you can with allies, or use grand alliance with a specific allegiance ability if you insist on soup so everyone gets something. And even those without any allegiance abilities yet benefit from specific battleline choices if taken as a faction (Clan Moulder Rat Ogres as battleline, Squig hopper battleline for Moonclan Grots etc.). There is tons of incentive to take specific factions. 40k is lacking that alot in my opinion and detachments are just too abusable (ex. A blood angel army with Dante and Mephiston, and everything else in the 2000 pt list is Guardsman and Custodes. How is that a Blood Angels army!!!).

    • @rubilax1806
      @rubilax1806 Před 6 lety +1

      The thing is a lot of great characters are gone. Character that made the universe more interesting. Take for instance the skaven : Lord Skroll is gone as is Queen Headtaker, Ikit Claw and Death Master Snikch all these guys ... rats both were fun parts of the fluff and now it’s of kind desolate and this make the world of Warhammer Fantasy less fantastical

    • @gwell2118
      @gwell2118 Před 6 lety +3

      @The Sjushi King Well to be fair their adding in new characters all the time and bringing back some of the old. The obvious idea is they want to create new characters with new models and gradually introduce them back into the setting.
      If your issue is that there aren't enough characters I wounldn't worry too much. They will arrive soon, Skaven also.
      And I don't quite understand how that applies to 40k? I mean 40k has tons of named characters. Not having characters at the moment doesn't make it like 40k.
