I have the radiator fans set to exhaust (the fans are inside the case). Since I live in the tropics, ambient temperature ranges from 28C to 33C. CPU (I7 13700KF) temperatures ranges from 65C to 80C while gaming and GPU (RTX 3080) ranges from 55C to 65C. I can’t run Cinebench in this setup because the CPU will shoot as high as 100C. But since I’m using it as a gaming rig rather than video rendering, 100 degrees is technically impossible to hit during daily usage.
Because of the lack of auxiliary cooling options. I’m considering attaching a USB powered 90mm or 120mm fan externally using a magnetic strip. This should push cooler air and feed the AIO radiator fans inside.

Is there a reason the PSU and mobo can't switch places in a redesign? The PSU would be closer to it's pass-through and the AIO would be positioned so the radiator's tubes can be higher than the pump's tubes when the case is standing up.

    • @pocketlint82

    • @RonaldinhoPopper

And that it fits a big GPU and still seems to do nice is pretty nice.

Very good-looking case, besides some of the panels appearing to not fit perfectly.
Looks like they raised the motherboard I/O up enough where you can fit regular display port cables and not have to use right angle adapters (unlike the Meshlicious.....)
    Sounds pretty affordable too.

If you do a follow up, or another build, maybe try a ryzen build with the stock cooler to see how the temps are.

Der8auer also just reviewed it and said that iBuyPower suggests to put them as exhaust for bette rtemps. He tested both ways and had to agree. Even tho the cpu gets like 2 degrees hotter because of the warmer air it deals with, the whole system seems to get more advantage with the exhaust config. Gpu got bit cooler and also the other temps like vmr, etc were a bit cooler.
You can check out his video, he did it also in english.

Downward facing exhaust on the GPU. I'd be shocked if it wasn't so hot. Looks like a beautiful case, just not well ventilated for the GPU. CPU rad can exhaust out the top which is why it's so much cooler.

I had the MSI 3080 Ventus 3X OC and was weary about the cooling off the card, so honestly not surprised that the Ti variant of the card wouldn't be so different in terms of cooling. I swapped it out when EVGA contacted me about the queue in a heartbeat and sold the MSI card very cheap to a good friend.

just switching the fans around would make a huge difference for the gpu. OR swapping to low profile noctuas and to a push pull setup (Exhausting rather than intaking) on the aio.

The truth is that there is only degrees of cold air. So washing lower colder air over a component that is producing a higher cold output will cool the component. I like the air flow set up. Cold is relative to the temp of the items current state.

  • @Z020852
    @Z020852 Před 3 lety

I think the GPU temp is a combination of the cooler design and the airflow pattern. And the cooler design has as much to do with how large the GPU cooler is relative to the case than just the thermal mass of that cooler plus those fans, ie this affects the resulting airflow pattern.
Basically, the GPU cooler is too thin for that case, so the fans are too deep inside the case and too far from the intake out front. Add the positive pressure from the CPU cooler as intake, and it gets easier for it to recycle some of the air coming off the side of the shroud than to pull fresh air in with the positive pressure system just behind it.
A thicker card relative to the case, ie a 3slot+ card in here or a 2slot in an NCase v1 to v5, has more of a tendency to pull fresh air in especially if the CPU AIO is set to exhaust. The NR200 and I think the NCase M1 v6 can avoid this with either a thicker graphics card or a 2slot card with fans on the bottom. A thicker card relative to the case will more easily pull in fresh air, while having fans pull in air tends to create a positive pressure right from the intake side of the card that pushes the hot air coming off the sides past the shroud up towards the other side or out the side exhaust holes.
