- In Round 1 of the APAC May Melee, the NYXL had their backs to the wall. Down 2-1against the Chengdu Hunters in Gibraltar and facing elimination from the entire tournament, they found themselves in a desperate overtime fight to prevent themselves from being full-held on Point A.
Yet somehow they brought it back from the brink, clutching the fight, then another, then another, eventually finishing the map, winning it, and taking Map 5 as well to move on in the tournament. How did they pull off the unthinkable? That’s what we're going to find out in this episode of Behind the Akshon.

Its overkill to have both haksal and libero on the same team
talent wise, nyxl didnt technically need haksal. however i believe such a powerful personality like haksal can change team culture a lot.

Agree, I've been playing since almost launch and haven't been super interested in OWL. CZcams suggested this channel and I must say... These videos have really increased my interest quite a bit.

What a scary team. Unlike most other teams, where one or several members step up and pop off, for NYXL it's literally EVERYONE that pops off.

Same i always get feeding dvas it came to a point i know i will lose evertime i get a dva in my team
@@sloom2239 Dvas will feed inherently more than other tanks, it's just apart of her playstyle. It's what she does to help counteract the feeding that seperates a Plat/Diamomd Dva from a GM/T500 Dva.
Like using all your Matrix before you plan on bombing, actually dueling the Widow or Echo, picking up Pharah boops, picking up Mei ults, Matrixing your MT in a brawl. All these things will factor into every single fight you have.

After watching this, I went to watch the broadcast vod and the difference was striking. It is so hard to see the plays happening, and the casters only mention Hotba once in the first clutch. Thank you for these videos: they break the situations down so neatly

Chengdu vs NYXL have been some of the most exciting matches this year. You can never predict who's going to win or what they're even going to play. I believe they have an exact 50% team fight win rate against each other. I definitely can't wait to see this match-up again next year.

I remember there was a game in season 1 or season 2 when
Saebyeolbe clutched the third point on Gibraltar as tracer. The time was about to end and he needed to touch the payload and there was a whole enemy team waiting for him with MCCREE HIGHNOONING, and he managed to touch, avoid the highnoon bullet and then they clutched that fight and made it to the end.

Tbh what surprised me the most is that pros use nano confirmation, im about to switch my settings
i dont think thats really accurate, like how when you spectate someone that's in game/replay, you don't get their crosshair settings but rather yours, (example OWL when they spectate certain players its always the default) i think the same applies here that the account viewing it has that turned on and doesn't necessarily means that they have nano confirmation on.

C9 is a term used for ignoring the payload when they actually can be on the payload. Being forced out of the payload is not a forced C9! Man people using the term C9 too loosely these days.

If they're forced off of the payload, I think its normally referred to as a forced C9, but not a C9
@@TerrarianAce "Forced c9" is not a thing, though. c9 originated from when team c9 actually FORGOT about the objective. Like, they literally brain farted on the objective. The other team did nothing to contribute to c9's screwup.
You can't "force" someone to c9. Forcing a team off the objective using ults or whatever is just a good play, not a "forced c9".
It's actually quite embarrassing how prevalent the misuse of the term has become, though. I don't even bother correcting people anymore. People are so stupid lol.
I wonder if the Pros appreciate you covering these plays. A lot of content just covers the big flashy plays. Not the Contributions of every player in that fight. WEll I appreciate it quality content.

Videos like these almost make me wanna watch the OWL but whenever I try, it's just tons of ads, way too loud screaming, bad camera angles and alot of waiting time.
Hotba is an insane D.VA player. I'm not even sure if that was all luck but he was almost always in the right places at the right time.

In the Shanghai Matchup, I feel like NYXL actually played better on Echo Dive, especially on Anubis Attack. People. are saying NYXL played really badly and stuff, But I feel like the loss is better attributed to coaching decisions, such as choosing to play a death ball/rush comp. For some reason the NYXL didn't stick with the dive, even though It clearly worked. This was probably out of respect or fear of the new coaching.
Now if only they can clutch a semifinal
