Definitely the tallest attorney youtuber that I have ever seen. And he makes good videos.
how much did tom pay you
Im 5'11 and when i met Attorney Tom i kept having to look down in order to keep eye contact
Damn, the bar really is that low?
@@biggierocc1935 Of course, if the bar is raised, Tom can't reach it
Very good Donald. As Attorney Toms financial coordinator your check will be coming in the mail soon.
How long has the judge been sitting on the Burger King “have it your way”. Absolute decimation
That line was epic.
Epic
That one LIVES in the back pocket, I'd love to know how often it comes out.
There are lines like that in every job and it takes a special person to not just think of it but say it. Good for that judge 🥳
I don't think that's even their slogan anymore... we need to interview that bailiff to see if it's her go to line to use or did she wait for that perfect moment.
The last girl apparently was detoxing so later she was given the opportunity to apologise to the judge, her bond was put back to 5k and no jail time.
Yeah, when he asked her if she had taken anything and she almost said yes. Huge give away 😭 lol
Yeesh. At least she apologized, and hopefully it's a lesson learned to be more mature in general
Thanks for the update! I was wondering about her.
Very kind of the judge to allow her that opportunity, a lot of them wouldn't.
I would perfer her to have to deal with the consequences of her actions.
Acting out in court may be a terrible idea, but boy do I love watching it happen.
Watching people so used to getting their way by being stubborn, obnoxious assholes getting slapped with contempt is just *so* satisfying.
OK KAREN
"If you piss off the judge they can make your life harder!" understatement of the year. It's a terrible idea to piss off the person wearing the funny robe that sits in the front of the room.
This statement applies equally to judges and wizards
It's even a more terrible idea when they're wearing a white wig in England and you do that.
Psh, their 16th century aristocratic cosplay doesn't really impress me that much
@@danielboone8435 It's better than ours in 18th-century cosplay lol.
“When the sign changes to Burger King you can have it your way.”
I don’t know who that judge is but that slapped hard.
it slapped so hard that it brought me back to my childhood
It's actually a lot crazier, her first "attorney" was a sov cit who got arrested in the court room prior to this video.
She's the same judge as the Larry Nasser trial
Ok, so the first clip is even more crazy in full context.
Her first "attorney" was a sov cit who got arrested for pretending to be a lawyer, in the court room, right before this went down.
Thus why the real attorney is taken a bit off guard.
Ah crap sovereign citizens. Lol one of the weirdest concepts that have come out of the US. Amusing yes , but they tend to be a PITA for police.
Why are sovereign citizens never like happy go lucky bunch of sovereign people instead of being mentally unstable fraudsters
Pity you didn't watch the woman with phone laying down on the floor claiming she was being assaulted for a few more seconds. The man with the gavel said, get this ham sandwich out of here. I really wanted to hear that again.
OMG link please?
@@JBBell Oh jeez I can't remember but it was on some Karen site. Sorry.
Oh yeah that was the stupidest thing ever. Full Draco Malfoy (he's killed me, he's killed me).
It’s a promo vid for The Black Keys
The whole thing was staged as a promotion for the black keys.
I’m surprised none of them asked to talk to the judge’s manager
That would have been fun hahahaha
The ultimate “I AM THE MANAGER!”
The supreme court? Lmao
That would have probably gotten a laugh from the judge!
3:11 For clarification, this was an advertisement for The Black Keys’ album Dropout Boogie, and is not an actual town hall. That said, they used actual town hall footage as inspiration, so not terribly far off.
Thanks. I saw "Black Keys" on the Chiron and was wondering how they were related to what was going on.
I had a feeling that it was a staged but now I want to see the footage that inspired it.
@@LadyBern I was able to find it on CZcams by searching Black Keys town hall.
I found the best way to escape sentencing is defend yourself, then just glare at the judge the whole time, and when you lock eyes, give them a lil wink
Lol that sounds flawless!

Sovereign citizen detected.
I took a coworker to court one time after he was pulled over and received numerous tickets for equipment violations for the truck he was driving as well as a suspended license.
A little backstory, my dad was Undersheriff at the time and was friends with both judges at the time.
When the Judge came in, he recognized me and asked me why I was there, thinking I was one of his dockets for the day. I told him what I was doing, he asked how my dad was, and went on with business.
I guess my coworker thought this meant the judge was weak or a pushover, or something. After the Judge handed down his ruling (a pretty sizable fine and some community service), my coworker says "I'm not doing what the f you tell me to do". Jaws hit the floor, the Judge asked him to repeat what he said, and wouldn't you know it, he did! He wound up in contempt of court and got 93 days in county.
I went and visited him a couple days later and put money on the cantina for him. I asked him what the hell he thought was going to happen? His logic was, if he stood up to the judge, the judge would respect him and lighten his fines and community service! He's a good friend, helped me out working on my cars and trucks whenever they broke down, but Damn he dumb!
Straight to the content in 15 seconds, thank u sir
None of us watching would ever misbehave this badly if they were on trial, but then, probably none of us would be on trial for stuff like this in the first place
At the very least, none of us will be recording our crimes and posting them to social media. 😂
They really like it when you call them “judgey wudgey”.
A certain Wendy Oldbag seems to think it's quite OK to do so
Imagine being so entitled you'll tell a judge in a court room "no" lol
Judge: "did you commit the crime in question?"
Defendent: "no."
Judge: "I CHARGE YOU WITH CONTEMPT!"
So I ask you now, who gives a judge their authority?

If her mind and body are accustomed to operating under the influence of drugs like Zanax, she would behave abnormally without them. Which could explain why she was acting odd.
On the other hand,
When the Judge closed the hearing by saying, “Bye bye.”
I don’t think her responding with, “Adios” is out of line or a sign of contempt.
Her actions after that were of course inexcusable.
Yeah, i agree the judge was really out of line there
Yes, he went too far, that didn’t have to happen. He took offense to the “adios” when it was Probly not meant to be offensive. It seems the events that put the last girl in contempt were because the judges feelings were hurt.
Had my court meeting today (got charged with drugs position, i was respectful and open and got more or less away with a black eye, so yeah it's true what he is saying.

Lol he's not the lawyer, it doesn't matter if he can spell it.
@@JohnDoe-qz1ql well they probobly just misspelled it normaly but the closest autocorrect was the wrong word
@@kellynolen498 autocorrect? Never seen any such thing. Autoclobber? The bane of my existence.
4:01 and there's a followup to this. She was ordered to pay court costs and then only paid $5 instead of $500 or something like that and when it was charged to her card properly to correct it she disputed it with her bank so she was called back in on subpoena and then tried to argue everything AGAIN when she was asked about it. She argued with the same judge again because she said that she has the right to be heard and wasn't last time and when she was told she wasn't she says "I knew it was fixed" and almost gets herself charged with contempt
Trying to speak over a judge is literally making you seem worse and more guilty as a person
There are courts other than criminal courts. As AT said it's just a very bad idea as they have power over you.
@@JohnDoe-qz1ql true also just in general trying to get your message/statement across with respect in a court of law should be obvious but I guess not to everyone
Treat others how you want to be treated. When that person is legally capable of putting you in jail, you can say whatever you want and see what will happen.
the last case in the video, the girl came back the next day and appologized and admited that they were on drugs at the time, and the judge reduced the bond back to 5k
called it
This video reminded me back in the days of the Turkish military government(1980-2000's) when in Adana there was a newly forming modern law system so judges and guards for courts were hard to find at a level where guards were selected from soldiers(Which upset them since less payment) or selected from village militas.
One day this one man who was charged with many crimes such as : injuring local militia men , hate speech against local Alevi population and burning down a Cem house which is a Alevi praying place, he demanded no lawyers for himself and failed to defend himself in court then he threw a fit and then took off his shoes throwing them at the judge in response the judge threw his gavel at him, the man reached a beating from the local militia since this was back when assaulting criminals was expectable which got him to speak and he was found guilty of 2 cases of assaulting government workers , 4 cases of disturbing the peace and 1 case of domestic abuse after he and his older daughter spoke
Turkey has a long history of duct-tapig its way to civilization. If they only did that last 20% they'd be a world center instead of a regional power.
But the old men have to be fed.
@@JoshSweetvale If the Turks hadn't been repelled at Vienna, the Renaissance wouldn't have been necessary because literacy would have blossomed throughout Europe in its wake
@@redjoker365 Hahaha.
Sure buddy.
Say what you want about courtroom rules or whatever, but that last judge is on a power trip. Literally say adios to a man so he doubles your bond? That's stupid. Judges are public servants. Adios hurts them absolutely 0%
It blows my mind that people can’t be respectful in the one place you absolutely NEED to be respectful to not get thrown in jail. Baffles my mind.
I know that I'd never be able to find the right to be heard on a motion for a case that has yet to be filed, but now all I can think about is getting an Attorney Tom hug. I'd like to file a motion to receive a hug from Attorney Tom.
He can keep his hug! I want the 10K. He's not the only lawyer willing to put up money on laws that don't exist. Steve Lehto had $100 riding on someone finding that you don't have to possess a driver's license to operate a vehicle on a public road (I think it had to be a U.S code and not a state code). When a lawyer is willing to bet money on whether a law exists or not, you can be sure he's keeping his money.
@@82ndAbnVet no hug for you.
Your videos are genuinely funny and it's like a breath of fresh air. Thank you
I'm currently considering getting a PPO for a genuinely scary set of things that have happened and I've been worrying that I'm being silly. These videos of absolute courtroom insanity are proving to me that maaaaaybe wanting to not get harassed is just the teensiest bit more valid than these cases
Pro tip about interacting with a judge. It can ALWAYS be worse. Just shut up and let your lawyer talk.
8:35 - You pacing back and forth and wringing your hands is one of the funniest reactions I've ever seen. Instant sub, sir.
4:40 "Your Honor, I would like to file for a restraining order against him filing a restraining order against me." 😂
Your videos absolutely floor me, Tom! I'm always cracking up at your reactions when someone does a "No No" in the courtroom. LOL!
The girl who laughed at the judge; I know that some people get giggly when they're nervous but she definitely seems to be in an altered state of some sort.
One of the best ones yet, this channel's growth has been awesome.
Congratulations to Col. Sanders for becoming a judge. Bet his rulings are finger-lickin' good.
5:05 Well, I was going to provide the evidence to win that $10,000. But then he had to ruin the deal by throwing in the hug.
10,000 and a hug from Attorney Tom if I find that in the constitution? I might have to steal the constitution and get my pen out. I'm getting that hug. lol
That last clip has been circling for a while but it never get old. Your reaction to her flipping him off was not far off mine.
If I was on the jury on any of these cases, I would almost certainly be held in contempt for laughing too hard. Especially with that lady on the phone, I would be on the floor laughing.
That last lady acting like she's on drugs...
She was, she admitted as such later.
It is hysterical watching you get upset from the lawyer's standpoint. Your videos are so informative and entertaining. Thank you!
When I was 16, i got a minor consumption and had to go to court. When i was at court there was another kid there with the last name “butts” and i started laughing and the judge yelled at me.
I would have got yelled at too!

[edit] 7:19 "Rick Ross" 💰
So, serious question! Can a judge legal raise a bond simply because he doesn't like someone? Like, how are bonds figured out? Are they based on the person's crime and background, or whatever the judge feels that day 🤔?
Judges have a ton of power, some would say too much. They largely can do whatever they feel like doing, even including making rulings that are not in line with the law.
In fact, in our legal system, the law is largely determined not by what's written on paper but by "precedent". Meaning what some judge interpreted a law to mean or if a judge just felt like a law should be different they can effectively nullify it or change it in court through a legal case.
Different courts have different ways of calculating it, but a judge does have discretion to set the bond higher or lower. That's why judges decide, not computers. Now, it would be reasonable for a judge to be able to explain why they set bond higher or lower. "I don't like the way you look" would not be an appropriate reason.
Pretty much.
Laws are worded badly enough, while also being open for interpretation from the judge. Making most laws a gray area in a way.
You could essentially see 2 different judges for the same case and have 2 completely different outcomes.
8:37 Tom.exe has stopped working
... If one thing I've learned from watching all these lawyers on youtube is. If I get in legal trouble or need legal help, get a lawyer and do what they say and be quiet otherwise.
2:55 Don't you know? If you knock the judge out, you become the judge.
You left the end out of the video of the town hall meeting where he says … somebody get this ham sandwich out of here! Lmao😂😂😂
Can't wait until there's an anti Karen law written in. The hearings will be the funniest shit ever 😂
There's at least the C.A.R.E.N act in San Francisco. Deals with 'criminalize racially motivated emergency calls' as an article says.
@@Excalibur-Sonic oh yeah ! I remember hearing about it in a DeFranco show iirc. Completely forgot about it. I was more thinking about belligerant customers and shit (I don't think there's ever gonna be a law about that) but that probably has / will make some pretty funny clips xd
I'd like to be a judge only for the reason of being able to make jokes or puns and watching everyone try to hold it together.
This is absurd Tom. Why is getting a hug from you such a steep and impossible feat to achieve? T.T
I've gotta say, that last one was one of those things you just have to wonder about. She couldn't take it seriously until the judge gave a big heaping pile of shit for it and then she tripled down on it. How do you EVER think that end well for you.
7:19 it’s RICK ROSS. Not Rick Rolls
yeah looks like the OP misheard it. Definitely should be Rick Ross.
That 2nd judge already looks pissed off you should not have fkd with her.
Adding 5000 to bail for saying "adios" seems bigoted to me. It just means goodbye.
I've seen that last one before but it just occurred to me was she trying to act cute to get sympathy (baby voice, the giggling, cluelessness, and playing with her hair)? Cause she let that act go PDQ when he upped that price. I guess she's gotten away with it a few times and he's seen it a few too many.
The last judge was abusing power. Raising bail because he was offended by someone being nervous and 30 days over words as someone was walking out of court? Absolutely insane. Also, how is he handing out criminal sentences without a trial?
He said bye bye and then all she said was adios. Was that the disrespect? She had the same attitude the whole time so why a last minute change?
If I was the person after that "Adios" girl I would be on my best behaviour make sure that the judge loved me after that, would try to make his live as easy and pleasant as possible hahaha
Thanks for another banger, Tom! And.... ZIPPIT!
when even tom flinches as the judge yells in the clip tells me just how bad this is
I found Karma a few days ago and immediately thought of Tom. Namely the endless amount of content he could make from it lol
tom the best thing about the constitution is that it can be amended so there is a possibility i will get that hug and 10k
Hey Tom, love the videos very entertaining and informative. I hope I never have to meet you in real life, other than like at an anime convention or comic con
I’d love to watch more reactions to crazy courthouse behavior
I’m looking over the constitution now! But keep the money, I only want the hug from you Tom.
instead of flippin the judge she should have sued him. adios isnt disrespectful.
Lol Tom is hilarious. Tom I want some mercy like a knowledge hammer shirt
Lol, this was a funny video... "do not call me!" -Attorney Tom 2022 🤣
This was a great one from just seeing your reaction. Most reaction videos don't have this amount of raw reactions and feel staged. It is apparent that this hit a corde.
Ah no, he missed the best part of the 3rd clip, where the council member says "can somebody take this HAM SANDWICH out of here?"
Not me over here searching day and night to get that hug.
2:55 that would be a certified 855-NICK-WINS moment.
I like how the last girl starts putting her hair up like she's gonna fight the judge. Too good!
I want a hug from attorney Tom...
"I don't care!"
Oh, you will, lady. You will.
Petition to add an amendment to the Constitution for a right to be heard for no reason other than the lucky winner could get a hug from Attorney Tom
"I have a constitutional right to be heard"
What you have, is the right to remain silent. What you _lack_ is the *_ability._*
Clip three is like those people that throw themselves at stationary cars to make it seem like they were hit even though everyone is staring at them.
For the town hall lady I believe she claimed the judge was a demon and spiritually attacking her.
Yeah she was off her rocker anyway you look at this.
It was a Black Keys promo video
Who decided that a judge could criminalize hurting thier feelings?
Where is the protection of an officials feelings protected in the constitution?
"Adios!"
That’s a ridiculous amount of power for an American Government office, even the president can’t say “i dont like your attitude” and put you in jail for 10 days. Perhaps judges should have their power reduced.
I would be worried about being in court cuz I have a habit of nervous laughter and I wouldn’t want people to take it bad. In addition to my troubles with reading and expressing social cues
You are so entertaining 😂
I can't find that thing in the constitution but can I still get a hug for trying?
The lady at the town hall meeting with her cell phone rolling around on the floor is a promo video for the band The Black Keys, which is why you can see “The Black Keys” chyron on the bottom.

7:17 “Like, Rick Ross.”
Great stuff!!
4:53 I just remember what Judge J. Bryant Durham Jr. once said, "You have a constitutional right to be a dumbass!"
$10,000 and a hug? LFG!!!
When Tom is teaching his future children, instead of warning of boogeymen and coals in Christmas stockings, he'll tell horror stories of mouthy clients back talking judges and adventurous workers making OSHA manuals explode.
