Absolutely - I saw him perform with Emmylou and Brady Blade in Wellington, New Zealand a few years ago. Apart from their amazing playing, they let you know they are enjoying it too. Best concert I have ever seen.
Darryl Johnson is a treasure. I couldn’t agree more. Been fortunate to know him a good long while. Heart of gold. He’s an incredibly disciplined bassist and singer in equal degree with taste to spare. He was the Nevilles for a long time. He played hand drums on Peter Gabriel’s Up album🎖🎖
He takes Jim Wilson on the road now as near as I can tell. Fellowship is killer. San Francisco NEEDS to get it together since lockdown. WE were looking forward to The May 20th show at the Independent. I'd love to get Buddy Guy & Mssr Lanois together soon - especially as this is Buddy's LAST TOUR & He's 86 on July 30th.
It was seeing this performance on tv many years ago that turned me on to Lanois. Great song, great peformance - i've always loved the bass line and lyrics in particular. I strongly recommend the entire album "Acadie" that this song appears on. great when Brady joins in and grooves his butt off.

You Tube and FaceBook are absolutly amazing,,,it's because of these 2 social networking sites, that I was able to reconnect with Daryl. It had been about 20 years or more since we were last in touch and now it's EVERY single day...man this has really been a blessing!
There was a session of them doing Wrecking Ball but it seems to have disappeared, best version I ever saw! Don't know if it was taken down for legal reasons or something but it was superb. Love this too! love the Bass!
