Non-glitter or no sparkle is really important to me - I like the shimmer goo with pearl shine and absolutely no glitter twinkle. Often, the glitter twinkle only appears after you 1)go into the sunlight, which I do a LOT as a fellow Austinite and 2)rub it in, a pearl shine can turn into glitter face. Can you mention one or two that are strictly pearly and don't turn twinkly or glittery w rubbing or sunlight? Glow screen is a good example of not turning into glitter, also Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base is another that stays pearly and does not get twinkly. The Burberry is also quite subtle, which suits me. Thanks! It's really hard to get this question answered. Open to other fans weighing in, too, if ya feel me.
I was waiting for the Ilia roast😆 They have some phenomenal products, but MAN that highlighter is fussy! Now that I hear you revisiting and loving it, I'm tempted to retry it. I literally never declutter ANYTHING!
That Athr (did I do that right?) Oil looks PHENOMENAL. Gosh, they are absolutely tippy-top of my list!

I got the Glow Lust in Pyrite and omg I looooove it so much. I literally just wear it all over my face 🤣🤣 I haven't been wearing foundation or anything, so I just do the Glow Lust & my eyes and I love it. I have dry skin tho, so its such a nice change 👏👏

I'm loving the Chanel le blanc light drops, and the Pinch of Colour honey glow waterless balm. I use this type of products as primer, or in a no makeup days, and/or as a natural highlighter. Also the Danessa Myricks wet balm, but that I use it as a balmy highlighter.
Oooo that Pinch of Colour product looks like it could be a dupe for the Benefit Watts. How would you personally describe the shade?
@@gianninal5455 it's less pigmented, the shade is a bit lighter but because it's less pigmented it's more like a glowy hydrating balm

For my dry skin, the supergoop glow sunscreen is AMAZING!!!! It looks so good and dewy on my face. And I use concealer so it looks fine. I look like a bronzed dewy goddess.

Timely topic as I realized a few days ago that I do not like highlighter! LOL!! I am watching any way because of you, Kackie!
Solar flare, Phosphene and even Icebow are all shades of the Rituel de Fille creme luminizer that are extremely wearable. Solar flare is a nudish bronze/gold, phosphene is a neutral blush color and icebow is a little harder to explain, but is more of a icy highlight with extremely subtle pinky/lavender shifts. I love and recommend them all :)
Any other RDF products you would recommend??
@@Eelsclimbs Try the lip sheers. Inner Glows are nice on eyes and cheeks. The metaphoric highlighters which are different from the luminizers mentioned above.
I have Icebow, it is so gorgeous! Sadly it also ITCHES like mad on my sensitive skin but I agree that it would be a very wearable color if I could wear it :')

Yes! I was also kind of confused with Westman Atelier "highlighters." Even on her own Youube videos, she uses them, as such... Blush (Peach and Rose one) and bronzer (the bronze one) Its cool and I can still respect it and understand it totally works for particular skin tones.. but I think she missed the mark calling them "Highlighters." I think she would have done better calling them something more multi-purpose.

I had seen the ATHR Beauty oil on social media, but this is the first time I've seen it in use and oohhhh😻 how do you recommend using this? Products like this always make me scratch my head a bit and can be a bit intimidating.

Omg the SG glow screen ...you literally spoke it exactly like I said it the other day. I do like it but I 100% agree I look like the tin man. I’m glad I bought the small size as I realize I prefer the healthy glow finish of the Krave Beet Shield over the glow screen. I do like both the unseen and the matte for a more neutral finish.
Since you seem to love the Athr oil, I’m wondering if you’d also love the Maya Chia highlight of the day product. I LOOOOOVED it but later realized that oil type products, of any kind, are best for people who have smaller collections that will commit to using the product(s) very frequently. Despite the lack of need for preservatives, I’ve found that oils go rancid quicker than [properly preserved] water based products. I’m curious to research the other more liquid type formulas you mentioned as I prefer liquids and creams to powders but an oil base is just a no for me in terms of getting through the product and not losing my coin on something that turns before I get through it. I so want to find a pan version (even better if it’s pan only and not in a compact) of the LXMI rose glow highlighter. It comes out of the tube looking like pepto bismol but blends out to the most perfect shade of gold with a gorgeous pink shift that’s not too brassy (which usually turns me off from most true yellow gold highlights) or too icey in the pink.
Man do I wish I could find someone to destash my Daniel Sandler samples to. I thought I found someone who’d be interested but her experience seemed to mirror mine. I thought the bronzer was horribly, unflatteringly O-R-A-N-G-E, and the blushes/highlighters were too intense with even the tiniest dot of a product.

The only one I have is the glossier futuredew and I loveee that its glowy than shimmery (the bottle terrified me at first like you said😂😅) ❤❤
I LOVE the glossier future dew. I wasn't that impressed at first and I think that's bc of the way they marketed it. I was expecting it to be more of a makeup item but when I used it as more of a skincare thing I fell in love. My skin is crazy dry so I use it as the very last step in my skincare routine (I think that's in the directions?) to seal in moisture and really keep my skin looking hydrated all day. I don't feel like it works over makeup as a highlighter but maybe I'm just not doing it right 🤷🏽♀️

Oh good! I quite like the Ilia shimmer goo. Both as a pinpoint highlight and mixed with a primer under the foundation. And I think it's a nice base for a subtle powder highlight if I want more bang. But I got your initial frustration with it as it took me some trial and error to love it. You know, I'm going to finish my HFF because I'm a panner and I declutter very little (despite the literal storage unit of makeup in my house). I've seen Jamie Genevieve use it with the Dior concealer as a base. She swipes both over her face and blends with a brush. And that is pretty and works for chill makeup days. But my skin is in REALLY good shape right now between my own skin care and my dermatologist/aesthetician. Give me an upcoming trial and some hormones and travel and that combo will not work for me. So it's kind of a pain of a product for such a high price tag. So i might keep a mini once I finish it, but I do want to try Becca and perhaps Auric (I have the Auric eye products and love them, but I knew if I bought the glow lust, I would never finish the HFF). Mine is also a bang on shade match. I just wish it had a pump. If I could have half the product with a pump, it would have an always place in my life. But as is, it's not as versatile as I want it to be.

How do you use the Daniel Sandler highlighter in your routine? I haven't been able to make it work for me- it just ends up looking like I mixed glitter into my foundation
The WA Super Loaded Tinted Highlights are meant to “envelop” the entire cheek according to Gucci Westman. I usually use it as a quick one and done cheek product!
What do you think about the Kosas highlights? I just bought their cream blush for your recommendation 🖤

I enjoy the Kora Organics Luminizer. it is made with crushed crystals and comes at a high price, so I recommend buying it on sale when possible. it is on the thicker, balmy side, but its got a really nice skincare vibe when you have it on your cheekbones/under the outer corner area. I would supper recommend for those with dryer or mature skin, although I love it for my oily combination skin. I don’t feel it sliding around my face, but it does fade in intensity over the day.
After watching these reviews, I got real with myself that the match stir highlighter from fenty beauty is...meh. it’s kind of dry? maybe too sparkly too. The rare beauty highlighters are my GO TO, I love them so much. I have Enlighten & Mesmerize, I think I want two more down the road because they are everything I need in a liquid highlighter.

I will say polka dots and moonbeam works wonders for my oily combo skin, you can wear it on top of setting powder and I guess it mixes with natural oiliness to be more slippy cause I have never had an issue with stiffness, for my oily gals out there

Not that you need another shimmer goo in that collection but I’d love to see what you think of Live Tinted - Hue Glow. I have it in dawn (rosy shade with silvery shine) and loveee the serum texture. Seems to not break up makeup as other oilier products do, but is also not silicone-y (as I recall the Charlotte Tilbury felt in a sample a few years ago).
I'm working through my MAC strobe cream and Charlotte Tilbury HHF, but I'm hoping to get the Auric as my next shimmer goo. The Becca might do since Auric will take a long time to restock (plus cost in Canadian $ is steep).
When you combine the future dew and the Danessa myricks, how do you apply it? Brush, sponge, fingers?
Which one is most like "lit from within" vibes?
This makes me need the ather....not that I need any body makeup being that I'm so pale I wear long sleeves year round.
what's the longevity on any of these? I find most glowy products don't last on me... it looks great when i put it on and half way thru the day I don't see the dew anymore

I’m a Jones Road miracle balm Stan. But I only wear it on my no makeup makeup days-and I use just like Bobbi says, the littlest tiny bit, rub it between the fingers, and pat it on my cheeks and other parts of my face. It gives such a healthy, non shimmery glow on those days. I also will put it on my eyelids and lips sometimes. I don’t recommend it over top of foundation or heavier makeup. I think the one I bought is going to last me FOREVER.

Approximately how much Future Dew do you mix with the Danessa Myricks foundation? I am super tempted to try the sample size of the Myricks foundation and was just trying to get an idea of where to start for mixing them. I have been using the Future Dew as a primer for the Ilia skin tint for a while and being able to adjust the coverage is really appealing.

Hah! The more you talk about the fieriness of the milk makeup lip gloss, the more I'm like hmm, maybe? I don't mind a little mint, but I don't love it and I cannot STAND the menthol in things like buxom,which is sad because some of those formulas are great mixing media. But the actual burning glosses I perversely enjoy. I don't think Suqqu is cruelty free, but they have my favorite shimmer goo of all time. Also Chantecaille (except I'm on a break for them after an extraordinarily poorly packed package that arrived with exploded shimmer goo and gel bronzer and a dented lip veil and then it took me a month to get a refund, just buy from Nordstrom). I would like a drugstore or midrange shimmer goo, because it's one of those things I use LITERALLY everyday. Primer and shimmer goo over my SPF. EVERY day. So I pan them constantly.
Dammit Kackie, stop making me want to buy Thrive products! With the addition of shipping and custom fees they just get too expensive for me to order from the US. :(
