Dr. BOB BRIER in person: “Tutankhamun and the tomb that changed the world”

Renowned Egyptologist Dr. Bob Brier, aka “Mr. Mummy,” appeared at the Salmagundi Club in NYC, in conjunction with the American Research Center in Egypt New York Chapter (ARCE/NY), on Nov 15, 2022, to discuss recent discoveries and conclusions laid out in his new book, “Tutankhamun and the tomb that changed the world.”
There is far more to the boy-king's story then just the discovery of his tomb 100 years ago. Dr. Brier explores research that has taken place since, from objects in the tomb made of meteoritic iron from outer space to new evidence that shows that Tutankhamun may actually have been a warrior king.
Dr. Brier also examines how the discovery of the tomb influenced Egyptian politics and contributed to the downfall of colonialism in Egypt. And to a great extent, the modern fascination with ancient Egypt was also greatly stimulated by the Tutmania that surrounded the discovery of the tomb.
