    I love to hear your enthusiasm for your ST1300 and your joy riding it fast. I have ridden this bike for years and love everything about it except when I get caught behind a semi-truck on the highway. It does get some oscillation if you get caught behind a truck for any distance like when a truck is passing another truck on a two lane road. I just lighten up on the grips and let it do its thing until the traffic clears. Stay safe and keep enjoying your ride.

      Absolutely! I thought it was just me, a little bit of wobble when riding behind, but not the death wobble they talk about. Have an awesome day!

    The classic Pan European. It was the bike of choice in the UK for Police, Medical response, Blood transport, Military police and convoy escort, The automobile association (breakdown recovery service), dispatch riders and is still a common choice for motorcycle instructors. Great video 👍

    You and I are much the same, I add a new bike every chance I can. Try some trail riding stuff they make some great 50/50 bikes now. I love mt st1300 as well but it needs some tlc this winter new clutch slave cyl all hose for cooling. Also adding Led lights. It has 68000 miles on it motor runs as new incredible motor.

      Awesome!... Yes I have been researching some 50/50 tires. Here in Michigan I'm limited to certain types of campgrounds with the current tires I have on my ST1300, and I know certain campgrounds would open up to me if I had a 50/50 tire, at that point I could hit some of those fire lane roads. Thanks for the awesome comment keep the rubber side down stay safe my brother.

    Thanks for the great review! I just bought a 2003 from the original owner, who had EVERY record of every service ever done on the bike. He put new Road Pilot 4's on it before winter storage, so I don't have to worry about tires for a while. Your comments about the weight of the bike shifting with a full tank is bang on! I've never had a bike's centre of gravity change so much with a full tank. I've had a 2008 VTX 1800, a 2009 Goldwing, among several other rides and this one is by far, the fastest. The one thing that bothers me after limited riding is the clutch. It seems very heavy and needs to be pulled in completely when making a gear change. My left had gets a real workout in city riding. Maybe it's due for a fluid change? Looking forward to more of your videos!

    • @SoloBlack313
      @SoloBlack313  Před 3 lety +2

      The st1300 is an awesome bike! the gas tank is bigger than the Goldwing. 7.7gals, that means a full tank of gas add 67lbs of weight to the bike!

    • @stephenlane7951
      @stephenlane7951 Před 2 lety

      I've found the same thing with the clutch on my new to me bike. The fluid kind of looks like it needs changing and I plan on doing it soon. Have you changed the clutch fluid in your bike yet and if so did it make any difference. Anyone else have this experience with the heavy and long pull clutch?

      The price of a brand new 2010 St1300 in 2010 was $17,699.00 MSRP. If you sold that in 2010 with 7000 miles on it, the dealer would sell it for $16,000.00, so I look at like you got a new bike for $7000.00, and save $10,000! Blessing to you, and your family

Still to drop it but at very slow speeds only use back brake and keep front wheel straight or you will go down. Keep up videos ride safe

But the Cherry for the ST 1300 before any after market is The Two Brother Racing exhaust. They have a very pronounced growl that compliments the V4, very Porsche like. You’ve cloned my bike completely; you’ll notice that you’ll keep your speed down in city by the sound now. The only music that I listen to are the two cans of after market, that make V4 Honda into a whole other animal. I’ve had 70’s vintage Honda 750 4’s and kept my new purchase 82 750 Nighthawk up until recently. So I know what the Honda growl is all about, what you’ll get with The Delkevics is the evolution of the Honda growl. My Harley peeps say it sounds like a Porsche with attitude, when I’m running Captain through High Mountain passes in BC up hill around big bends in passing lanes and they gauge accordingly
