- Permanent Makeup - Getting My Eyeliner Tattooed
I recently went to Lash Noir Ink in Auckland city (the same place I got my eyebrows microbladed) to get a nano lash line which is a procedure designed to make your eyes pop when you're not wearing makeup. It's not supposed to look like eyeliner but instead it basically fills in the little gaps in between your eyelashes to give your eyes a more awake look.
I still have to go back for my second visit but I'm already thrilled with the results. I love how natural it looks and how I look a little more awake when I first jump out of bed in the mornings.
I'd love to hear from anyone who has had this done before and if you have any questions about this procedure please just leave them in the comments below and I'll do my best to answer them for you.
Thanks for watching.

I love how simple and short your videos !!! I dont really have time to listen to people rambling for 20 minutes lol I appreciate how to the point this is
Thank you :)
OMG. So true.
Hey! I just had my eyeliner tattooed and it’s hurt like heck! I was amazed to hear you say you didn’t feel much! My beautician did an amazing job however and I’m really happy. I had the full eyeliner so it took about an hour and half. She did the above lash liner, between lashes and bordered on the waterline. Like you, I went back to the same place who did my eyebrow tattoo and I’m so happy with the results of both!
I’m a nurse and don’t wear makeup to work (I live in Alice Springs at the moment) because it all slides off in the heat! So having my eyebrows and eyeliner tattooed and my eyelashes tinted and lifted, it makes me feel a bit more human and I don’t need to do anything!
Just had mine done and i agree that it hurts! I get my touch up in 6 weeks and I’m already dreading it 🤣🤣🤣. It’s definitely a different feeling than getting my eyebrows done.
I didn’t think it hurt that much tbh yes it’s uncomfortable and scratchy and tickly
Hurt a lot, but I love my result!!
Got mine done 3 days ago.
Had Microblading of eyebrows and eyeliner done at the same time. AMAZING results!
Yours looks amazing!
Yay! It's so good right?
Does it hurt?!
how long did it last?
Having my eyebrows and eyeliner done in 2 days. So nervous but excited at the same time.
SK E don’t be nervous - it’s very straight forward and the results are awesome 👏🏼
So I got the eyebrows and eyeliner done. OMG the eyeliner was so painful. They are still swollen and still hurt. The brows feel fine. They just itch so I am really trying not to rub them. My eyes on the other hand looks like a reck. My round two is in about 5 weeks and I am already dreading it. Wow this is an experience. When I really look past the puffiness the line does look great. I hope after it scabs over it will still look the same.
SK E oh gosh I’m so sorry to hear this. It really shouldn’t be painful at all. Did they use numbing cream?
Mine is a line though and not dots in between the lashes. Mine really looks like I am wearing eyeliner. Maybe that’s why it hurts so much. It took her 30 mins for each eye. I only did the top liner. She did use numbing cream. For round 2, I will need a miracle to survive.
One year later....how did it go? Does it last?
Thanks for sharing! Great results.
Nice! I like it. I would definitely get this done. Thanks for sharing. Peace and Blessings to all!
It’s really brilliant! And you’re informative and so nicely explained
Doing this next week. Trying to decide whether or not to also do the bottom lash line.... I think I like it this way best.
I love this!! It looks great! So glad you told us about it. Cheers
Thanks Donna I'm really loving it too. I have a second appointment coming up so I'm sure I'll love it even more after that LOL
Thank you for sharing. You feel dressed even when you're undressed by having these wee secrets under your belt! A friend had hers done and they were a shocker so I had been put off but this has convinced me it's a good idea. And no pain - yay!!
Oh yes I've seen some bad permanent makeup too but I love how Lash Noir don't even refer to it as makeup because they don't want it detectable - they just want your eyes to pop. I'm really loving it :)
Looks great!
Wow! You are really brave; I don't think I could sit through that, LOL. Looks very nice and natural.
Ahhh thank you but it really wasn't bad at all :)
Looks very good!!
I’m gettin it done soon can’t wait
I currently have my eyebrows microbladed and my lips permanently tattooed and I am going to be getting thin winged liner done soon😀
Really into the lip idea too. Very curious.
Brava, thanks for sharing.
Yay glad you enjoyed it :)
Love mine had done today not too painful xx🎉
Thanks a bunch! I'm having the lash line done tomorrow by the artist who did my brows. She has magic hands I swear. Lol anyway this video puts me at ease, thank you.
How did it go?
@@Thestyleinsider. it went well! I'm a bit swollen but nothing major and it looks great! Thanks for asking! 💕
@@kyliemack1131 how has it been lasting?
I had my eyes done close to 20 yrs. ago. It was painful for me, unfortunately my eyes were not numbed before hand and it was put on a bit heavier. I have always loved them. So much easier getting makeup on and no touch ups throughout the day.
how often do you have them touched up and or redone
Thank you for sharing. Your eyeliner tattoo looks amazing. How much is cost?
Would def get this done! Please share the lipstick shade you wear at the end. :)
I love 💘 it
My biggest challenge is that I have a blonde eyelash/brow and a black one. I think this might be a terrific delivery for me.
I had mine done and it was so painful I cried the whole time
Oh gosh it sounds like they didn't numb them properly - sorry to hear that :(
I have some questions about this treatment. Does the ink fade over time or migrate like on traditional tattoos, leading to like that blurring? How long does it last?
Just had mine done.
Awesome 👏🏻 Are you happy?
How much was it? was it good?
Can you show a before & after of after the touch up? thx
Yes sure :)
Looks nice
Thank you 😊
Very nice
Great job I do permanent make up please what’s name the machine you use ?I am looking for a good one
Deb here. I am looking into this because I about to chemotherapy where I am sure to loose my hair, eye lashes and eye brows. I was wondering who had an experience with tattooing to help with these loses. Chemo starts in a couple of weeks. I live on the north shore of of Boston. BTW- did you do your lower lid?
Do you use 3R needle ? And what device do you use ?
You look great without make up did you even have foundation on
It looks lovely but whoa 😮! Too scared.
How much does it cost?
is there another way to do this because im allergic to ink.?
Will it stay forever or does it fade away
Id say its like permanent hair dye, as the lashes fall out and regrow the ink fades. Id say itd last a few years.
I tried because I’m oily but it was horrific! Awful! I’ve done my brows a few time with no problem except the last time I felt a bit ill. I think it messed with my sinuses! It’s awesome but I wonder if we’re not going to find out this is all bad for us! What we do for beauty.
I had my eyebrows and eyeliner done today) I had too much of the numbing cream I guess, coz 2 hours after the procedure and I still cannot feel my eyes)))
LOL :) Probably better too much than too little I'm guessing :)
Hello! How long did it last before starting to fade? :)
About a year 👍🏼
@@Thestyleinsider. My tattoo eyeliner has lasted 20 years. I wonder why?
I couldn't watch. I kept closing my eyes and tensing up, imagining a slip. I'd be terrified to let anyone near my eyes with a tattoo needle, you're very brave!!
Eek! Yes it does seem a lot scarier than it actually was but I suppose I knew these girls were professionals so I was confident I was in good hands :)
Where can I get this done in New York
I’m gonna have to find out where I can get this done...I got mine done a number of years ago but I’d like to get a touch up but I’ve been avoiding it as it was soooo painful..but I think they must have gone cheap on the numbing
Oh gosh it shouldn't hurt at all. I'm sure the whole process has improved over the years but I didn't feel a thing - honestly!
The Style Insider yeah it was 3 or so years ago I think..but it was one of the worst pains I’ve ever felt and I have a very high pain tolerance
Oh gosh that's definitely not sounding right at all. I definitely wouldn't be going back to the same place!
The Style Insider oh yeah for sure I’d definitely go somewhere else
Lissy'sLife Mine was also really painful. My friend who had it done somewhere else says she didn’t feel a thing but she has a “high pain threshold”. Afterwards I could barely open my eyes for about an hour and a half. The recovery was a bitch. It’s now about 9 days later and it feels like most of it has come off. I’m so disappointed. I’m reluctant to go back for the touch up as it was so painful and there’s hardly anything there. P.s. the woman in this video has the most amazing long eyelashes xx
Those ink are not detrimental for eyesight?
NEEDLES NEAR EYES.... NOOOOOOO!!!! (i burnt one eye when the end of a match flew off and hit me in the eye and lost half my cornea of the same eye in an accident a few years later so I'm super phobic about things being near my eyes) it does look really good though
gingerandpippin oh gosh that sounds terrible and totally understandable that you wouldn’t be getting something like this done.
I'm going to be a tattoo artist and I'm still kinda iffy about getting some liner done lol
I think like anything if you go somewhere really reputable you have nothing to worry about :)
Did she double dip the qtip into the lotion she uses for other people? Pink eye anyone?
I had my eyeliner tattooed about 20 years ago. And it has barely faded at all. I also had tattoo lipstick put on and it has faded just a bit, but not much at all. I guess my skin holds pigment very well. If it had faded, I wouldn't go in for a touch up. I had a reaction to the pigment and had problems with my eyes and swelling for over 5 years. The lips were extremely painful too. If I had to do it over again I probably wouldn't have done it because of the skin reaction.
It sounds like the technique back then was very different to now and nowadays they don't go anywhere near as deep into the skin which is why it isn't painful and why it fades :)
I just had the permanent eyeliner done and more than half of it literally peeled off. It hurt so bad it’s like the numbing cream didn’t even work. I wish I would have known how painful it is and that it peels off and now I have permanent eyeliner on both eyes 👀 that faded is on only half of my eyes. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Hi, what do they look like now, years later?? Thanks Amy
It’s completely faded away and I’m going to get it redone 👍🏼
@@Thestyleinsider. would you reckon having it done every year? Thanks
I wish I watched this before because I did my eyeliner and now it looks like I always have eyeliner, your is a better natural look but :( it's too late for me haha
I'm sure yours will fade in time. Tattoos on the face and hands fade the fastest because of the regular washing so don't despair :)
@@Thestyleinsider. thanks I hope so
What was the cost ?
Was tat painful ..will it pain ..plz I wanna do it ..plz lemme know
No I didn't find it painful at all to be honest :)
How's the cost for eyeliner
my friends eyes are swollen shut from this lmao
Oh gosh that doesn’t sound right 😢
Your lipstick (during the procedure) is beautiful! Would you mind to share what it was? Thank you!
Oh thanks so much. My lipstick is a YSL Gloss Volupte in #19 - it lasts forever and is so subtle and pretty :)
Thank you! Is it sticky?
Vera Samburova no. It at all sticky which I love.
what about the lipstick you're wearing in the beginning?
Wonderful that you love them and you didn’t have an issues. Unfortunately her process is unsanitary and she doesn’t hold her machine properly. This can cause blow outs and bleeding of the pigment.
Hopefully she’s done ongoing education, otherwise I wouldn’t return to this location. ❤️
Does she have lash extensions on?
No I didn't!
@@Thestyleinsider. nice work, she is a lucky lady
contamination of the tube of numbing cream tube putting to used qtip back into the product.
Can't see for the wordings
Not eyeliner it’s dot Work between the lashes
Yes it is but in lay terms it's the final result that looks like eyeliner :)
Do you find yourself using less makeup?
Yes I do use less makeup and I just enjoy walking up in the morning and looking more alert.
A before & after photo would have helped 🙄
Title of Her Video: “Permanent Makeup-Getting my Eyeliner Tattooed”
Also her “This isn’t actually permanent makeup it’s just to make your eyes pop not to make you look like you have eyeliner on”
Hurts a lot
Wow sorry to hear that I didn’t feel a thing 🥲
Why does she have a mask on if her nose is out.lol
No thank you🥺
Oh hell no.
themori3 yep I’m sure it’s not for everyone 🙊
What a waste of time, they end up looking exactly the same but fake lol
cant take any girls out to swimming on a first date now :( they have evolved disguising themselves to be more attractive :(
But you ugly
