The partially melted snow and ambience changes are so good. Seeing my skills level up live as I play is such a huge motivator.
Like I don't care that I got head eyes from 150m away from a scav, at least up until that point I was stacked in various skills leveling up and I lost rubles but damn did I level up a ton.
Actually seeing my skills progress makes me motivated to play more, it reinforces the idea that I am still leveling and progression is still occurring even through deaths.
I didn't expect that change to have such a dramatic effect on how we view skill leveling, but it is a HUGE improvement.
@@Airwingmarine I was near starving in a raid and found food, out of curiosity I looked to see if it was live updates and seen my metabolism skill bar spike up over a quarter after eating and drinking.
It just triggered this leveling idea and appreciating seeing it live. Then I saw HOW to level the skill in descriptions, what they are linked and related to.
It became more than "got food & hydration out of the way" to "how much did I skill up?"
I'm constantly peeking at my skills after firefights and recovery.
Game feels different now in a really good way, quality of life improved. Again the ambience and sound of footsteps sell the feeling of Tarkov well, like how CoD has its own signature feeling and sound now Tarkov is stronger.
This is my pov as an artist appreciating the artistry of it all.

PvP on ground zero is insane running into so many people so many pmcs for a small ass map
you were correct about Usec Checkpoint, its stops right next to the SUV that can have violet card, and it stops above the Sawmill where the wood piles are but I didn’t see which way it drove after that. The BTR warning seems to be 5-10 seconds before it departs
23:50 i think it means that whenever you used painkillers while using nvg, it applied that weird gray filter(which is still better than old effect) on the edges of your screen on top of your green-ish nvg effect which was annoying and, ironically, brings pain to my eyes.

That usec spot with the car is correct
USEC checkpoint is the one across from ZB14 with the small container and violet labs card spawn. The BTR stops at the top of the ridge at Sawmill right next to sniper rock by log cabins

If you're inside a metal container when the crow makes a noise, it will echo in a really cool way. Awesome details.

26:00 pretty sure there's a WillerZ clip of him leaning and aiming; where he notices the whole map's fog overlay tilts with him. Might be what they are talking about.
Me and my team mates noticed if you're near a door you don't hear noises (gun shots/scav lines) outside the building, but your team mates who are upstairs can hear everything going on. It's like silence vs. warzone - they've broken audio passing through doors.
I’m curious how the ambient noise is affected by broken/partially broken windows and walls.

ive never gotten game aborted before an now its every 2 raids
I think the AI on stationary weapons fix is regarding how often the AI get on the gun. I've had many fights were I kill one running to the mounted gun while another is fighting me and the one shooting at me will turn around to make a mad dash for the gun. Dont quote me though I haven't tested it 😂.

The indoor/outdoor ambient transition doesn't seem to work everywhere. The building right next to coop extract at reserve is quite nasty atm..

Question about seasons. Is it sometimes going to be snow in a match or a 3month long snow maps. I think it would be cool to be somewhat random weather conditions regardless of season.

What I believe will happen in winter for example yes it will snow and there will be snow on the floor but the snow will also thaw like it is now and the leaves on the trees will still be gone but no snow
It must be based on rus seasons because last few years here in the uk we have had heat waves and rain over December

@@visuals2763 God, no. Autumn/Spring - 3 months of rain. Make them last 2-3 weeks instead. Basically short enough that during one wipe you get to see all of them.

they should fix the night and darker night light transition that happens around the same time as the sound one. its super weird and youll be in a fully moonlit raid then all of a sudden its pitch black(without NVG).
Yeah, that is really abrupt as well, it happens at a different time than the sound though. But agreed, hopefully the moon having a lightswitch goes away eventually as well🤣
My only gripe was any walking or running outside sounded more like walking/running in sand with the regular foot stomp sound added over it
As a hideout enjoyer, I noticed that they removed the memory skill from the game and changed the library module to require level 5 hideout management. Not in the patch notes!

Quit playing about a week after wipe and came back a week ago just had my best raid EVER on customs ive been dcing every couple raids which is frustrating but my games running better and looking better than ever.
with the new wind sounds ive had times in raid its so deathly quiet i think my sound quit working until i start moving again. Especially in the underground of reserve

It still has it's problems, and they are fighting a nasty connection issues right now that seem to be associated with the patch. Like always, don't get your hopes up too much.

@@xPetyr Cheaters exist. BSG actively battles them. Battle Eye actively battles them. BSG included 3 new features to report them in this patch.
If you don't want to play with cheaters, at this point, unfortunately you can't play any online games. Even Helldivers has em and it's not even PvP....

What are your thoughts on real world legal trouble for anybody using these services as it damages the integrity/product the developer is putting out alongside ruining the experience for others. I just shake it off but I really think we need real world repercussions for Cheat users.

The Audio pop is insane when ur using Comtac 4 you can hear people so so so far away ul have a instant advantage and be ready long before they reach you without them having a clue u know where they are, been abusing it so much lately for so much gains as so many people dont run comtac 4 regulary. thats on top of the already great advantage of range comtac 4 has

They also removed Memory skill and changed library requirement to hideout management 5.

With the scope range change they could add canted mounts 😂 which essentially raise the barrel relative to the point of aim. I think this takes out any near distance zeroing though. I haven't actually used one IRL
Depends on how extreme you go and how good your optic is. IRL on my long range rifle that has one I can still zero to 100, but it bottoms out the elevation adjustment. But I can also dial in past 1000 because of the scope mount slope.

Incorrect camera tilt. As far as i know, iron sights on the ump and mp5 has been bugged forever now, when you lean you no longer get a clean sight picture. Hope that was what they changed
This is somewhat of a stupid question but on Ground Zero what happens if a timmy is in a party with someone high level, will it even let you two queue together? My assumption is it will but it would just put you in with the high levels.
11:03 am I crazy, or did this also apply to gunshots with and without headphones.. I hadn't play much in the last weeks but I don't remember guns having much of stark difference with headphones on or off.. it sounded crazy good.
Do we have to worry about some fat stack roller paying the BTR to cover fire all around woods now?
It was also noted that the UN roadblocks gates are NOW open to allow the BTR to travel between them, but you can't go on foot, snipers are keeping a sharp eye on the areas past each gate
at most you can only get like 2 or 3 runs out of it based on how much cash your limited from bringing into raid.

29:25 the solution BSG seems to refuse to implement for scopes is the ability to zero beyond 450 meters, it would be perfectly viable if you could set your scope up for shots at those ranges, otherwise you have to favor high fov scopes like the 3-12
Yeah, I understand the limitations and why they do them, but it is frustrating. Ideal world we could even get scope mounts that have elevation built into them like you need for IRL long range shooting.
i have over 3k hours and this is the best update since 2018
That muddy sound acts like snow so you cant slow crouch walk on it but just like snow you're fine your off the ground or indoors
The quality of life is really on point. They even added a feature where it closes my game as I load In to a raid, so that way I don’t have to play the game anymore. 🔥 mind read feature
Jeez, these are good but I really hope we’re getting word on a couple maps being combined soon (“open world” will be 2 huge maps or something like that).
I also really hope they can tell us something about the cheat situation and the progress of 1.0 (delayed, on time for 2025, etc.).
don´t know if it was true but i heard somewhere that rusted bloody key spawn was disabled ..... well, found one yesterday :)
I'm worried about how much time the art team will need when generating all these new variants and editing them later. For instance, say a car gets added, they'll need 4+ car variants just for weather, and the spot it will be will need updating for each weather type.

You're wrong about ricochet - it meant that damage wouldn't be applied properly after a ricochet - meaning the round would not apply correct damage if it hit shit after it bounced off of a surface.

This update has been super cool and I’m glad I can finally rest from being the ammo encyclopedia for my buddies xD but I’ve definitely been having a lotta issues with being disconnected before loading into any map besides Labs and Factory, PMC and Scavs have this issue, have you noticed this at all?
Its happening to everyone, it usually lets you join on the second attempt if it doesnt you must ult f4 then you should get in on the 3rd attempt .
@@Chevalier_knight yeah I’ve noticed that as well, trying to just go back in without restarting won’t let ya in, also I’ve noticed your character doesn’t physically spawn in until you’re close to actually getting in off info from my teammates

It did for me too. I've grown so accustomed to the in game sounds they are just background noise now. New sounds tickle the brain different.

An interesting QOL change would be integrated maps in the game BUT they are all have fog of war until you explore the area with you pmc. It doesn’t show your location. Each time you run your pmc in an area you haven’t been, the map fills in the fog of ear with the map since you have ‘explored it/discovered it…
If that rack maybe a hide out skill… navigation… where you level up you map…
No more god da*n alt tab for those of us ballin on a budget
Or maybe if you carry the map and a compass on your pmc… you can stop and pull up where you are… maybe an animation like healing…
Maybe connect it to the library hide out…
Now that ammo stats are integrated - which will increase immersion - making the in games maps rewarding… there is no reason for me to use in games maps :/
The AI on Stationary targets was absolutly broken. A normal Scav shot me and my friends in crackhouse through the window in the Bathroom while we were at the entrance. We didnt´t engage any ai in this raid and 2 of us instantly died from this
@Airwingmarine can you please test binaural audio off and Dolbi Atmos on? I've been playing like that and quite frankly love it. No audio bugs, good directional audio, amazing quality. Basically turn off BSG buggy binaural audiond and using my own (Dolbi atmos)
Never thought day would come were I'd say I'm proud of BSG.
It’s really nice that you can click on the persons dog tag if they changed their name in game so they try to hide their cheating. But there’s more to it than just checking names
The new ambient sounds are nice, but they are not directional. When hearing birds or the dogs barking at the same time you turn you character really throws you off.
It also seems like you get thrown out of raids while loading in a lot.
Other that that Great Update!

i think ground zero for scavs should be dependent on your scav level, as it's separate from pmc level

I think it should just be your player level. Why should someone who's level 45 with 7.2 scav karma and gets good scav gear get to scav in with folks who are level 5?

If the guy has 7.2 scav karma, he probably has higher scav level than 10
And pmc level doesn’t exactly matter here
It would also slightly separate player scavs, and at least slightly prevent experienced player scavs exploiting new players, if a player has scav level 10, he played some raids on the scav, and has some experience running scav
You can get to 7.2 scav karma and never play a single scav raid...
My point being is a very experienced player is far more dangerous with there scav than an inexperienced player on their PMC.
There is no reason to mix those two.
We got all kinds of animals now I think a bullfrog or some weird bird, different wind noises. I love it I love it I love this game it has sucked up my life I don’t work on the race car no more and do nothing.
Its kind of wild that every single one of you streamers all pointed to the same spot for usec check point. As a woods main, i got a good chuckle out of that. The checkpoint is the spot with the SUV that can spawn the labs keycard in the seat. The same SUV you pick up the motor controller from. Thats the checkpoint, N/NW from new sawmill.

BTR might be part of a larger connected map travel system. However, connected map travel would limit freedom to choose any map which i think community influencers would FREAK out about

Oh no. They've already implemented the stops on Shoreline, they just didn't put in the BTR. Not looking forward to that. I'm okay with it on Woods, though.
