- Fall of 89 we were looking to replace our 8820s. We previously demoed the Case IH 1680 combine, then the New Holland TR96. The 8820 combines were walker machines, the 1680 was a single rotor machine and the TR96 was a twin rotor combine. At the same time we were looking to replace our Orthman carts and got to demo the new Brent 770 corner auger grain cart.
These videos are great! It was a different world back then.
A better world, in my opinion
Cool Footage, its cool seeing how things used to be!
The big guy is my grandpa, Skip! I’ve never seen more than a photo of him so this was great. My dad hasn’t heard his voice since he passed. Thank you for posting this!
You’re welcome, that’s amazing to know.
I havent heard Skips voice since the last day i worked for him on a dairy farm in Minnesota.
he was a great man to work for.
thanks for posting this video.
Grace your dad like riding with me in the tractor growing up in MN on the dairy farm.
still remember the good old days
@@user-zc2jb4ph6c I’ll tell him you said hi 😊
Good to hear Joe's voice bantering with Tom
I had to laugh when the camera guy said “I’m surprised there’s room in that combine for Jay referencing the big guy that was driving the NH with Jay as the passenger😂
our family had 2 of them , the rice and soybean specials and they would walk the dog, wasnt a deere or a case around that wanted any lol, that was the only 2 things on our farm that wasnt green
Always thought those TR New Holland were a awesome machine.
My first TR86 ran to 11,500 hrs, and my brother in law bought it
They were super powerful and dependable combines
The plus is a cat motor
Did anything blow up?
Looks like we got a close-up of Fudd in this one.
