  • How do you pick a good color for the background in your paintings or colored drawings? Of course, you may consider color theory, but what if you want to experiment? You can do a little experimentation right in the middle of your painting process using Photoshop or some other photo manipulation software. This lesson shows you how it's done.

    Thank you so much.
    I was working on a ink drawing and intended for the background to be white.
    Well, that was until I dropped ink on the background.
    I stopped working on it for months because I didn't know how to hide that ink drop.
    Now, I have an idea and will test different colored backgrounds for my drawing.

    I can see how this would come in really handy! Thanks! Can you talk about the best way to take pics of your art for making prints?

    You can also do this in procreate, digital is such a great compliment for traditional art IMHO. 🙂

    Wonderful. I don't know how you do that. Keep up the good work. I don't know about digital painting at all.

    So you painted this bird in acrylic in a real physical canvas, then took a photo of it and loaded on Photoshop to study the background?

    • @thevirtualinstructor
      @thevirtualinstructor  Před 5 lety +1

      Yes, that's right. Then, I took what I learned from the experiments and painted the background.
