@SortedFood : you should do the Corsican cheese, in particular the Casu Marzu. It's a cheese with larvae in it. The healthiest way is to have the version of the cheese where everything has been put through a mixer. The taste is unique.
I love every time they say wafer thin the Monty Python way. It never gets old. I agree, it's the little things :)

As an American, I love these guys! It's a fun cooking show without all the over the top drama and fake chaos. It's lovely to see a bunch of friends eating cheese, cooking meals, and trying out gadgets!!!

As someone from there, I found it hilarious all the stress on the pronunciation of Bungay. It should be Bun-gee. But nobody ever seems to get that right. Also worth noting, the Baron Bigod Brie there is amazing too.

Just to address the "found the hemp growing in her garden" bit, heh. Hemp has been grown as a cash crop and food/utility crop for thousands of years, all over the world. It's extremely hardy, and it really is not uncommon to find wild hemp growing pretty much everywhere. The stigma around it is really interesting considering it's something that's only existed for less than a century. The strains of hemp you find in the wild, and which are grown for food/production purposes have extremely low levels of THC, which is the specific chemical that gives the "high." It's an extraordinary plant that can be used as a food stuff, cloth making, paper making, building material, rope, hell, all sorts of stuff. If you do find it in the wild, don't bother trying to smoke it, doesn't do a damned thing for ya. :P
The big charge against hemp was led by Hearst... he paid off politicians and pushed lies about the devil reefer, worldwide.. this was beacause he owned vast tracts of timberland, and hemp products are cheaper and better than wood pulp products... so make the competitors illegal..

Seeds should not be able to grow but the method used to achieve this does not always work.
Everyone needs to read up on William Randolph Hearst and his vendetta against hemp and cannabis, and by association minority citizens of the US.
Hemp was poised to become the industrial fibre of choice, especially for newspaper, which threatened Hearst's massive wood fibre paper mill fortune.
It'll just screw up your system if you do & your brain if you're smoking it. Problem is you give people an inch with this stuff & they'll take a mile. Socially you don't want to be the next America
It’s actually quite invasive. It’s not uncommon to see it growing wild or burning as brush piles when people are clearing land.
Jamie is right, traditionally the plain version of caciocavallo is often hung with a rope over charcoal and allowed to melt on toasted bread. I suggest you to give it a try.
This was such a hilarious video. A lot of the older videos( and even the current ones) like PIO or beat the chef or ultimate battles had such a stressful undertone. Even though it was entertaining and good natured fun the boys were all stressed. These videos have everyone so relaxed and laid-back - even those who aren't in front of the camera like Barry, Kush and I'm pretty sure I heard an Ebbers chuckle back there. Its like they just got drunk and reviewed stuff. ❤❤

1) I love that Mike went into this like "I don't like cheese" but he's been so open-minded that he's discovered all these cheeses he actually enjoys. He is pure and must be protected at all costs.

Finding hemp growing wild ought to be fairly common in Britain (especially given the long history of the British Navy). It's certainly quite common in the middle United States wherever farmland exists. It used to be the main source of fiber for rope and for paper. In fact, the original copy of the Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence were written on hemp paper (the ceremonial, embossed version that's stored was written on vellum parchment (sheepskin)). I would imagine a lot of hemp was grown in Britain for rigging ropes and boarding nets for the Navy. Even up to World War 1 and 2 "Grow Hemp For Victory!" posters were common in the United States encouraging farmers to plant the stuff to fulfill Navy requirements (rigging wasn't needed, but boarding nets and ropes and nets for securing cargo definitely were).
I used to find hemp popping up on my Great-Aunt's farm randomly. Useless to smoke, of course. We called it "ditch weed" because it would commonly grow in the drainage ditches by the highways and roads as well. It's a very hardy plant and will definitely pop up when you least expect it if it's *ever* grown anywhere near there before.
I'm with Mike, definitely a "non-cheese appreciator" Give me "regular" cheese! I'm the only one in my Italian family that doesn't like the odd, stinky, special cheeses. Thanks for taking one for the team, Mike! If you don't hate it, or actually like one of the cheeses, it makes me wanna try them. 😂🧀

Today was hell. Started off with a major electronics problem that glitched out all our work computers (and still isn't resolved), received some awful medical news that I thought was certain to be good news, and then had to deal with a tornado coming within a few miles of my jobsite.
I'm currently in my bed trying to decompress from everything, eating tacos and laughing my ass off at how much y'all are enjoying making this silly (but informational and entertaining) content. You being so relaxed and hanging out is helping me to relax a little bit right "alongside" you. Love all your videos of course, but this might be my favorite Friday one.

I remember trying Caciocavallo when I was in south Italy! It was available in basically all supermarkets, just hanging around - literally! The smell was quite prominent and permeated a good majority of the shops' atmosphere. I really enjoyed the smoked variety too!

They're not the weirdest ever, but they're made by university students in Pullman, WA, USA (home of Washington State University) as part of the WSU Creamery and the Food Science program. I think this needs a third or fourth episode. Then a cheese battle. Either Michael versus Jaime. Or. Ben , Baz and Jaime. With mike being the judge. If Mike is judge, use his ‘least favorite’ as the cheeses used. Send the boys to a cheesemonger.

Liking these type of videos as gives me a bit more information on the varieties of cheeses as there's so many. Thanks for sharing some of these and their pairings to go with. Not sure if you guys have tried it before but a Norwegian Brown cheese is a classic with it's caramel sweet taste.
After working for 12 days straight and putting this on, laying down in bed, after coming home looking forward to a weekend off, I can say I've never felt "happy Friday" harder than right now.

Just finished your cheese review and you asked what type you should try next. I visited Romania and went through Braun castle, also known as Dracula’s castle. They raised sheep around there that was mixed in both goat and cow milk, we purchased it at little shops at the base of the tour. It was divine! one in particular that I loved, was a blue cheese that was aged in tree bark. To me, it was amazing …smells the holy, you know hell 😂but I snuck some through customs when I came back home to the United States, because I just had to have more.
We had St Cera for a Christmas cheese board - found it very marmite-y! 😍
