hi, i have the same system i bought a charger and i am trying to connect it but it seems to me that it does not charge, have you tried to use the socket for charging?
The red and blue wire's connection port can be bridged or as in this video shows, you can take ignition wires (yellow and white here) and connect those. Doesn't matter about positive and negative. Turning the key just bridges the on/ off connection.

Sí, debe coincidir. Si tu controlador puede entregar más W, con el mismo Voltaje, significa que está circulando más corriente (Amperios) y esto podría quemar el motor.

You can burn you motor if it can not handle that much current
150/24 = 6.25A
500/24 ~= 20A
