I actually played a bit of S2 yesterday, and I bumped into Machine in most of my lobbies. Maybe seeing how good is it in S3, more S2 players wanted to try it out 🤔

i feel like whenever its time for a new game/update the splatoon team throws a handful of darts at a wall and whatever they hit is what becomes broken
I used to have the sloshing machine as a second main, you would think that the new kit and the broken mechanics would make me wanna use it, but part of me feels dirty with using a weapon that is obviously breaking the game, so I tried the explosher as a second main, the octobrush still being my main.

@@emmettrichardson5833 it’s been interesting, still having problems trying to take people away from me once they are close, but it’s still fun, wish I had an actual sub weapon tho, not a fan of the one it has atm

you know what's funny? aggressive v jet is actually a good option. enemy backline dont expect to see a jet squelcher charging straight towards them with stealth jump and comeback. also jet squelcher has a great kit in this game
it's so weird that there was a point where we thought that dart vac was anything other than one of the worst possible kits you could possibly get in this game

As someone who mains sloshers in general because i love the play style it's going to be awkward when I finally get to the higher ranks and I'm just using the Sloshing Machine because I love sloshers and not because of meta.
I can only imagine how it must feel to main a weapon that has Tenta Missiles just because you like it but also just having a special you know annoys people
Literally such a mood. I main reef lux because I just LOVE it so much, admittedly I do tend to special spam sometimes but I like playing supper aggressively with it….it’s just so fun to play.

Splatoon 3 Machine is the Mega Metagross/Slamance of this franchise.
Splatoon 2: has one of the worst ultimates and is still considered good because of main/sub combo.

Probably just better because of the zipcaster towers
I’d say Octo is better cause Zip is insane but Ink with the Killer Wail displacement is good too.
I like Octo personally.
@@demetrisbarnwell2798 I would say ink is better. It has an extremely synergistic kit and can get in and splat just as fast if not faster than octo.
Octobrush can be better at times but it's just that zipcaster can be a bit harder to use than the killer wail
It's so easy to die while using Zipcaster.
I say keep that guy BANNED until he finishes story mode, or else he won't learn his lesson.

So I've been checking out a lot of competitive splatoon lately and I had a thought. Do you think that having a pick and ban for weapons would give the game more variety, as opposed to 5 machines, or do you think that it would just create one sided matches, depending on who get the most meta weapons?

wait, that cage is something you can not only zipcast into, but it has floor collision is such a way that only other specials (and maybe some of the most long ranged stuff in the game like hydra) can really pressure it?! Its fine for now, but i am already having nightmares of hackers camping up there or the map being adjusted to allow for easier access without specials (even if only for specialized modes like splatfests or big run)...
ive had a hard time getting into competitive, though its not just for this game. got any general tips for comp?
You have to find the right game, one that you really enjoy playing against other people. (Plus in games like Splatoon 3 to play competetively it's way more fun with a team of friends.)

I used to play Splatoon casually while I was pretty young up until 3 and only really liked Sloshing Machine when it came to sloshers in 2. Now that I'm interested in playing ranked modes for the first time in 3, and I use sloshing machine without knowing it is meta- I keep getting disapproving looks and negative comments from others who think I'm a tier whore. Which is why Splatana Wiper is my secondary, if I use a weapon that's apparently lower down on the tier list it should balance out. Also wiper is the most fun weapon for me outside of machine.

Until League Battles are added ranked mode will be hell for solo queue players. It's even hell in Turf War where it seems squads of 4 discord friends keep getting fed wins by 4 randos.

I’ve been having this weird glitch lately where my teammates don’t have functioning brains, my teammates in B- were better than my teammates in S. Anybody have a fix?
@@defnotjef111yearsago3 that was a good speech, and I know it’s not entirely my teammates fault I make mistakes sometimes, but 85% of the time I lose it’s literally because my teammates don’t know what they’re doing. I have gold medals every game and almost always have most kills and points scored.

They're on rotation! There's a schedule on the Nintendo app

@@Boundwithflame23 Yeah, that was what I meant. So, do the organizers choose the map and mode for EVERY match or is it more like Smash? Where they allow certain modes+maps and each team has someone do RPS (or something) to see who picks?

So the first maps for tournaments is usually decided by TOs and then other maps & modes in a bracket can be either decided by TOs or is counter picked (aka the losing team picks a map & mode that they’re good in). The clip at 7:22 was counter picked by Knight Sharks on Lobster Crossfire after we lost a Museum Zones.
I tried using the Octobrush, since I liked it in Splatoon 2. Why doesn't it have ink resistance like the Inkbrush? It seems like a significant nerf.
The extra range is nice, but I don't think it's a worthwhile trade off, especially with the reduced sliding speed.
I know sloshing machine now is becoming so strong in high level play. but, I wonder why even people who cant do positioning yet want to use it so much. it is a little difficult to use I think
They hear it is the meta, so they think it must be the best automatically.
I mean at the time a big problem with it wasn't just that it was good, it was also really easy to use. it's now been nerfed to be less good, but at the time it was way too good for how easy it was
