He's using a different authority under a different law now. Not sure why anyone would have an issue with it anyway. College used to cost a few hundred bucks a semester at most a few decades ago. Now you can barely get through college without ending up with 100k or more in debt. You shouldn't have to saddle yourself with lifelong debt to get a good education. This is not a common occurrence in the rest of the world either. European students, on average, pay around $1,000 per year. We have a huge problem with adult illiteracy in the richest, most powerful country in the history of the world. 54% of American adults can't read above a sixth grade level. The solution isn't to bankrupt people who want a better education. It's to make education more affordable and accessible at all levels.
Educating people to teach and take care of people is actually an excellent investment for the future. The best worldwide jobs go to countries with high literacy rates, so not the US.
