After several months of waiting, I finally check to see if my Totem Pole Cactus cuttings are forming roots. Did my efforts pay off or are these plants rotting away and dying? - Jak na to + styl
Hello! I love collecting all different kinds of succulents and cacti! I am currently a student in high school I just made 9th grade! I have a really big variety, and it's also a great hobby!
Love hearing about the totem Pole cactus, my favorite. I'm waiting for my cutting to root, let me know if you have any more updates.
Love watching your videos!! Would love to see an update on your beautiful Totem pole cactus! After watching your first video on them I went and purchased one probably my favorite cactus
Wonderful to know someone enjoyed it. Expect an update on the Totem Cacti cuttings this week. Happy growing!
Great advice! I really enjoyed your post about totem plants. My totem plant is rotting at the base. I don't know what I should do?
Thanks for the kind words. Be sure your Totem plant is in well draining soil. If in a container be sure the container also drains well. If you are already doing this and you still have significant rot you might consider taking a cutting of your plant above the rot. Let that wound heal and callus over until the wound becomes hard and greyish.

Can you give advice when this cactus has black spots and I cut it thin and still black. Is it rotting ? What can I do
Black spots and rotting could be from a fungal infection, temperature trauma, or even chemical damage. Most likely a fungal infection, spray affected areas with a fungicide to treat.
