This anime gotta be talked more this season, WAY TOO UNDERRATED
This anime has been a great surprise for me. I didn’t expect it to be as good as it is. Especially the way it exemplifies how good playing involves more than just playing it “right”. This definitely needs a season 2.
My favorite anime this season and this song just rocks. If you close your eyes and listen to the music, your mind and soul go on a journey through the ether to a place you'll only visit in your dreams and leave you in euphoria.

The quality of the music & the attention to detail in the animation of the hands & strings in correlation to the song. Man I wasn't expecting to roll into this anime and see such excellent work.
Underrated show of the season with maybe just Vivy as a close second since so few people are watching that atm. I bet by the last episode a ton of new people will have picked it up on the recommendation of others who've been following it. This is one of those slow build shows with highly engaging moments that have a lot of viral potential without even knowing who the characters are or what the show is about.

In all seriousness,the sound of shamisen is truly amazing & it really has this special way of touching one's heart..The power of music is ♥️.
Their duo went to a frequency that drenched their viewers as well as the animators.
One of my favorite times Setsu plays. He was so happy afterwards.

This is better than the series which had the Koto as the musical instrument. They only had brief moments of music playing after being pent up to,listen to full performance. This series though a little weak on the characters gives a musical tout de force on the shimisen. Please watch and enjoy.

Cool! I play the guitar, drums, keys, ukulele and bass, and wanted badly to play the shamisen, I mean this instrument is so cool haha. I only didn't do it yet because of the damn high prices if you want to buy one, it's ridiculous expensive :(

This looks like Food Wars but with shamisen (the 3 cord Japanese guitars they are playing).
Be closer to call it a Japanese Banjo and that is not a insult to either instrument. Both of mentioned instruments have a tight skin over a interior chamber instead of a holed wooden sound chamber. (using non musical terms for these) Banjo is round metal rimmed and more shallow under the skin with a edge the Shamisen a deeper chamber not round and no rim.
This show is great. If you're not watching it you should be. ☺️👍

Exclusive but thats the beauty of the samishen you can play a variation of the the same song and make it your own the music is supposed to be more from the soul when playing the samishen and so you wont really hear a song that sounds like another when it comes to this instrument

While I love the music of this series and all the supporting characters the Mc is a whiny little girl. That ending scene of him on the ground on his hands and knees crying like a baby was pathetic. Horrible way to end the show.
