RHDR 95th Anniversary Gala 14/5/22 - 'From Sunrise to Sunrise'

A railway where they know how to put on a show!
Celebrating its 95th anniversary in style, the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway steam & Diesel gala would see trains running all the way from Saturday morning until Sunday evening.
With the weather conditions looking perfect for Saturday, it meant a long day lay ahead starting at New Romney shed, as the fleet got ready for an action packed weekend.
The first run of the weekend would be a parallel run to Hythe, featuring No.5 'Hercules' & No.9 'Winston Churchill'. Filming from No.5's train, No.9 is seen from many angles passing on the double track to Hythe.
With the parallel run filmed, the rest of the day was planned to the capture the action form the lineside as seen.
Running steam into the night and early morning, with the last scene requiring a 4:45am start, to see No.1 Green Goddess at Sunrise with a New Romney service.
Having to head off to Swindon, and the weather turning bad, it was time to call it at the RHDR for another gala.

It should actually say Sunrise to Sunrise, as the video ends with Sunday morning sunrise.
