Well done RB, That is the way to handle those situations. I am really up for trying a Cypher. I wish they could make one that has a standard 60MPH though...In time they will. Its a great concept.

Looks like an electric Grom handy for what it’s designed to do .I reckon a simulated Rev bomb noise could give extra warning of the Cyphers presence to help prevent homicidal half asleep cage drivers like you encountered en route .By the way you handled the situation in a cool calm & collect way ,let’s hope he got the message & looks out for other road users in future .👍

Dealer told me that derestricted is classed as 125cc nothing about warranty being void. I'll have to read the small print on this as was gonna buy one and used as a 125cc 30mph is dangerous as you can't get out of trouble.
Lexmoto state that the bike is sold as a 30mph moped derestricting voids the warranty as controller on it is set to 30

I'm sorry RB, but I had to laugh when you said how proper bikers deal with being cut up, as I've been riding daily for nigh on 36 years and have lost count of how many drivers tell me to BEEP off when I try to express my concern over their poor standard of driving. Granted, your way is how you should set out to deal with such matters, but sadly most of today's drivers aren't interested in being told their observational skills are lacking. As for the "mirrors" query, I THOUGHT that if a bike comes supplied with them, then it is a requirement to keep them fitted (or is that just for MOT?) and if it comes without as standard, then you don't have to fit some off your own back?

Whats the point of lexmoto giving you the option of de restricting it if its going to kill the battery and invalidate the warranty? Or do they want you to do it so they won't have to honour the warranty??🤔
The bike was geared at 16 year olds so was restricted on the controller to 30mph which is the legal speed for that age
There is another control unit that you can get from overseas that allows the bikes full potential to be released but costs more money but de restricting will damage the controller and battery as it was set to release its power up to 30mph

@@RevBombUK I look at that EZi miniscooters and those Bultaco e-bike things and think there must be a market in between those two things crying out for a bike.
