The reason NIO is expanding is that it’s the only company in EV industry it’s car can charge, swap and upgrade its batteries. The only company eliminated range anxiety! NIO has to expose its products how incredibly it’s to the world and it should be considered as future investment. NIO CEO told us few years back that they will expand to 25 countries by 2025.
I really dont understand why they arr NOT coming to Switzerland. Where they can price above European price, and NO tariff! Its a small country (2 highways…) so they can build a few swap stations and cover the entire country. Make a huge marketing case.😮

Why is XPEV considering to build a factory in Europe to avoid these import taxes but Nio is not? That’s the obvious solution. You can see BYD doing that as well Tesla also has a factory in Europe. Nio should focus on bringing the mass market ONVO to Europe by building a factory there and then bring the luxury product NIO after.
Nion is build ing f3 and 100onvo store short of cash .need cash raise 2 billion soon .
I think NIO will build the 4 factory in Europe once they're making a profit on the ONVO brand, probably in 2 years they'll build the factory in Europe for ONVO and Firefly.

If you want to be a global player you need to have a good footprint in all three major markets China, North America and Europe.
At what cost? It's a competitive market as it is and now your also handicapped. Can you even make a profit? Doubtful
@@sharpshot6111 the European and North American EV market is not even a tenth as competitive as the China ev market and the import tax is simple to avoid build a factory in Europe.
Dude Nio should expand in Europe and target the taxi Fleet as they have to convert to EV’s by 2030 .. EV Fleets will not work without Battery Swap
NIO said they don’t want to do robo taxi. Willaim lee said robo taxi should never exist because it will take so many jobs from ride sharing drivers.i like willaim lee he actually seams to care about people.

@@Slaytheday388 He didn't say "robotaxi", he said taxi... Also, Nio can choose not to do robotaxi themselves but allow other brands robotaxis do the swapping using NIO's infrastructure.
Does the battery have to be produced in Europe? Does the wiring have to be made in Europe? Does the software have to be made in Europe? Ship it in parts and do the final assembly directly at the ports in Europe. Wages are not that high in Europe compared to the US.
I am French so I would say, Onvo can be very successful at 28,000€ since it’s a quality car and price does matter. Contrary of US French lives mostly in city so battery swap will be key (like most of the Europe) But we are attached to our brand (Audi/Mercedes/bmw) so Nio brand will take many many years and cash burn to be part of legacy automaker!! I agree focus on China and return the favor increase tariff 100% on Tesla and Europe products. Considering and start negotiating in building a factory in the US.
I actually believe this is a perfect time to make the move, while it'll cost lots of money and it will push profitability farther away, however in the long term it'll pay off. Tariffs will be renegotiated in the near future, this is only a temporary strategy to put a pause on Chinese evs because they are simple better and cheaper. They ones who enter now will benefit the most later, I could be completely wrong however.

I think NIO has to have a presence everywhere because other brands will be using their swap stations, and will be a much better experience for NIO owners in Europe. I think NIO should minimise the amount of NIO houses, maybe one in every country, if its a big country like Australia have one in each state. I'd close some NIO Houses in Germany, just have 1.

I disagree with focusing solely on the Chinese market. Without expanding globally, investors will not fully grasp the demand for NIO and ONVO. Additionally, by limiting our market, NIO risks giving competitors room to sell their products elsewhere.

Based on BYD will sell car less than $20k, NIO has no way to win the battle in Europe with addition cost for battery swap stations, that is the burden for NIo on financial cost.

If Nio Management did more homework they should have chosen Switzerland sooner to offer NIO EV. Yes it is a small country but subject to the EU tax on Chinese cars.Further being in the middle of Europe people from Germany Netherlands Scandinavian countries travel through and visit Switzerland .Dont need so many swapping stations for a small country and last and not least the high Swiss Franc is profitable for NIO to cash in .Tesla is a very good seller here.

BUT... NIO is not even marginally profitable yet....and their resources are not unlimited. I have a good sized NIO position, but I am concerned.
