Contact Form 7 is definitely the best free contact form plugin on WordPress platform ever made, but sometimes if you're using shared hosting account there are problems and errors with contact forms.
I've noticed that a lot of people online struggle and have issues with WordPress smtp setup & settings and that many people can't get contact forms to work.
So in this video I'm teaching you how to properly setup wp mail smtp and it will take you just over 5 minutes. We are going to do that with WordPress plugin called WP Mail SMTP by WPForms but it could be don't with any wordpress smtp plugin as well as without the plugin!
For the SMTP unlike others who force Gmail SMTP we are going to use SendGrid. SendGrid is FREE and it's also a leading delivery platform for customer communication that drives engagement and growth.

Good tutorial but does Sendgrid take care of everything or do you host you business email elsewhere? In which case, have you already included all the MX records to your host's Manage DNS page to make all this work?

hey, need your help. we have loaded the SMTP in wordpress and it's active. BUT the contact form 7 on my website still will not send. When we hit the SEND button it does nothing. No message or error, the form just sits there with the information loaded but will not send. Do you know why this would be happening? Thank you
A question: What if you host free on a hosting company, and they want you to pay to get things like smtp.. is it possible to receive a mail on your website without hosting company?

Did everything step by step. Not sure why its not working. States:
There was a problem while sending the test email.
An issue was detected.
This means your test email was unable to be sent.
Typically this error is returned for one of the following reasons:
- Plugin settings are incorrect (wrong SMTP settings, invalid Mailer configuration, etc).
- Your web server is blocking the connection.
- Your host is rejecting the connection.

@@wpsociety I think 27 is not expensive since contact forms are a very important aspect. But 8 hours sounds a bit too long in my honest opinion, maybe 4 or 5 hours (but I might be wrong), thanks again for helping me with my form, it was driving me crazy!!

In SendGrid signup problem :( after complate signup when i try to login it is showing error "You are not authorized to access SendGrid, please contact Support".

Hi Xarah! First I wanna welcome you to my channel! Well honestly the thing is that SMTP problem is usually related to the server you're hosting your website on not to the contact form itself.
For paying clients I would recommend Gravity Forms, for free Contact Form 7.

It solved the contact form issue, but for my lms password reset i am getting a ssl certificate invalid error. Any suggestion on this issue?

well, sendgrid was a bust. after I filled in every single detail (which I normally don't do online), sendgrid claimed my account was flagged and blocked, unless I'd provide even more details. now this flags scam alert on my end and I would never ever use their service at all. I only went with them because of your recommendation. thanks a lot :(
Don't know about your issues but Sendgrid is working awesome for me. It is very reputable company that I use for delivering to my email list (cca 9000 emails every 3 days). Have never had issue with them.

hmm really strange mate :) could you provide more details... also sometimes if you use google mail when you do test because they send soooo many test messages it goes to spam folder please check!

How do i stop it sending to junk?
If you sent a test email to gmail email address it would go to junk! If you actually write the message and use right email in it it will go to Inbox.
Sometimes if subject sounds spammy it can still go to junk but in general everything that is not suspicious or happening repeatedly will go strait to inbox.

Hi test emails should go to spam level but if someone uses real email and write real content it should not end up in SPAM. Please test with real comment and if there is a still problem I will do my best to debug it for you.

@@wpsociety Just the same thing, email from wp get the first mail, but auto-mail doesn't send anything.
that's why I complain about no configure screen on Contact Form 7 after you've created the account. The same for the beginning after all.
@@MrNoveto You're right, but the point is that when SMTP is an issue email settings doesn't matter at all... cuz it's PHP script not being able to send emails out... well thanks for your point of view in a new video I will definitely cover that part as well just to be sure that I cover potentially more problems at once.
