That's Joy Strachan with the top hat on vocals - I remember first seeing them at the Boldmere Pub in Sutton Coldfield way back in 1983 but I think they initially set up five years previously. 14 years on, this here is a completely different band line-up. Fast forward another 20 years and they have the mighty Bev Bevan on drums....they are still going!

Roy Wood was always finding other groups and artists, some joined him on tour others he produced record releases for
I remember watching this when it was broadcast.

The Three Crowns in Walsall. Used to love drinking in there, sadly closed now :(
I’m sure I’ve seen these at the Hunters Moon pub in castle Bromwich .
Great Clip :-)
Lovely people. I was also on this episode. Wonder what happened to the other acts?
Grannies don't frighten that easy mi duck!
Andy Edwards on drums here .
Used to see these guys at the Hunters Moon. I'm just wondering why they never made it big. Maybe they were not prepared to do the London circuit?
Quill ayit
Brian Tatler on guitar. He's only a legend
Thank you! I thought I was seeing things. A legend indeed.
How things have changed. I remember when a legend was actually famous and you knew who he was. I wonder what The Beatles are then🤔
Check out Diamondhead
So what does that make Hendrix?
This isnt the band Quill that played Woodstock, is it?
Ouch!
Nice track but hard to top the Gary Moore version
Where is Bev Bevan? Or is this another Quill???

For 1997, this band are ridiculous. Late seventies maybe, but late 90s...come on!
NOT the Led Zeppelin version :)
This band does absolutely nothing for me or maybe its just the lead singer.
☹
