Hi, my channel is about Nigerian food and recipes especially the very classic and traditional Nigerian recipes, Nigerian food shopping, Igbo culture and village vlogs. Whenever i can i show live in Nigeria. Enjoy!
Nigerian food is yummy!
Another great video Flo.
I have been to Nigeria once in 2009 & I had not heard of Oyingbo Market.
My husband's aunt took Me to Oshodi Market to shop for Beautiful fabrics & the seamstress made about 6 outfits for Me. I also enjoyed Suya while I was there to. 💜
Awww, she took you to Oshodi because you wanted to buy fabrics. Oyingbo market is known for food items. :)
Love this market, my no 1 food stock market while in Lagos, early morning market for the early risers and at the same time very affordable at that time.❤❤❤❤
God bless the cray fish woman. She speaks very eloquently and also vey smart.
Flo, thanks again for taking us along. I am never tired of watching market vlogs❤. My last visit to Oyinbo market was in 2017. I like how our market mamas are looking fly . It’s their office anyways! The inflation going on down home is disturbing and to think that most of what you bought were on wholesale prices! Chai! It’s concerning how the poor feed with all these! Odi egwu😮! Thanks again for sharing ❤
I tell you, a good number of them take care with the way they look, especially that lady I bought dry cocoyam powder from, you can NEVER catch her looking unfresh. 😃
Indeed they were all on wholesale prices, imagine the prices they will be when the resellers who buy from here display them at the street markets. Very concerning yet some people are still talking about voting for Jesus and "God will take control". 😪
How the poor feeds is worrisome, no one drinks garri for fun again in Nigeria
@@Rsignatures Chai🥲! Years back, garri soaking was a pathway some persons take to assuage hunger! Not any more is sadly heavy! Yet! Nigeria is so blessed with every color of blessing which bad leadership, has not made many Nigerians reap the desired benefits. Bless you my dear❤️
@@FloChinyere I want to believe that, it is ignorance, that will make a Nigerian who has the Opportunity to vote, not to. Sadly, from the diaspora, we can’t vote! I’m happy at how Nigerians turned out at the last election! As a lawyer, I have faith in the court system ( not perfect though ) to do what is equitable and just. Since INEC has thrown the towel of decision to them , I pray they have the courage to answer the call of Justice. A new day for Nigeria, we all await! 🤗 ❤️
I miss shopping in Nigeria. Unfortunately this is one thing I did not do during my last visit. Thank you so much Flo for sharing!
Ahhh So you did not take any Nigerian food on your way back? Or you bought them from Nnewi?
@@FloChinyere Just bought only dried fish plus my luggages were missing for a few days.
Flo, I love love your market and village videos. I don't ever get tired of watching them. Thank you 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I'm happy you enjoy them. :)
Visiting the local market is my favourite of all your programs. Thank you for showing us round our local markets.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Smiled all through ☺ ☺
Alhaja is a vibe 😂
Uziza woman is a happy woman 😍
Nwanyi ede, the demure one 😍
Mama crayfish is one correct mama, beautiful and AWARE 😍 Taking life easy.
God will def help us. Please let's vote guys. Not for Jesus o; for whom Jesus has given to us, Mr Peter Gregory Obi. Nigeria shall be revived in Jesus' name.
Aunty Flo, since you buy crayfish up to 5 buckets, next time, maybe you should buy the small bag and share into 2.
You can never resist sweet udara 😂
Nice video. Thanks.
Great analysis of every one of them. You must be a Psychologist. 😃
Yes o, we should vote for whom Jesus has given us. That voting for Jesus took me out. 😂 I've heard "hoping on God" but that was my first time hearing about voting for a being you can't see who is not on the ballot. Chai o!
The 5 buckets are not all for me, I usually also buy these food items for our Nigerian friends in Spain. I can buy more for myself but the problem is where to keep it, I don't want my house smelling crayfish-crayfish. 😂
If you see the speed at which I ran back to go and buy that udara eh. lol
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks.
I tried dried ukpaka once, never again. This video is very timely for me, I love how all the market women are smiling. Was so good to see Oyingbo market again
Drying ukpaka should be a taboo for real. Not every ingredient accepts that preservation method. I'm glad it came at the right time for you. ❤
Please o where is this oyinbo market located please this is interesting
The ewe Eran leaves have moved from the side of the limes. I remember as a child, we would park by Bhojsons as my Mum entered the market by where palm nut kernels (banga) are sold. Oyingbo truly is electric but as an adult, I prefer the relative calm inside Iddo Market just before 😄. Thanks for highlighting where to find Ofor and Achi.
Oyingbo market is good for bulk purchase. I remember while in Lagos several years ago, we used to visit the market for bulk purchase of assorted fruits and other perishable foods, which were usually cheaper than elsewhere, but now those items are quite expensive
Yes, due to inflation, everything is more expensive in Nigeria but this market is still the cheapest in Lagos. Resellers in other markets come here to buy.
Alhaja for the win
She sells fresh stock fish
Alhaja is the best stock fish plug in oyingbo please
This your uziza customer is always smiling in your oyinbo vlogs. Nigerians still smile and hustle despite the economic hardship, yet someone said we are lazy youths. That stock fish alahaja need to look for shipping contact... the stock fish are very fresh.
Yes o, very happy woman. :)
Nigerians don't look like what they are going through for real.
@helverom ma’am.I am Alhaja’s daughter, yes we have a shipping contact and we ship worldwide based on order
@@misturahmosunmola where is the proof that you are Alhaja's daughter?
@Flo Chinyere If only you could help get alhaja's number, the way you did the dry fish seller's. Nice post.
Hmm this market is giving me memories… good memories… I miss Nigeria 🇳🇬 (home) soo much … I wish my channel will grow as big as yours… I absolutely love this content
No, pray for your channel to grow to its own full potential. My channel is not such a big channel considering when I joined CZcams. Glad you enjoy the content.

I will. I am not sure. :)
I’m glad you said this was in January I for fight the woman that I got stuffs from last week!
Nnem your customers are friendly and don’t mind the ones that wants to vote for Jesus.
Nice market vlog as always sis and yes the inflation in Nigeria is crazy😢
🤣🤣🤣 Glad that you applied brakes ooo! Yes I had to issue that notice because a bit of time has passed.
For me to buy from someone the person must be friendly o. One time, there was one woman I wanted to buy original cod (stockfish) from, I brought out my phone to film and she was like "no, no, no, don't film my wares" and other unprintable things she said in Yoruba about juju, I and my sister ran from her shop 😂 The lady we eventually bought from was so friendly and even took time to educate my viewers about the different types of stockfish. Here's the video: czcams.com/video/SVC-t2TdfUM/video.html
The only reason I didn't got to her stall in this video is because original cod is not really my favorite type of stockfish because it's too chewy. I prefer the type that Alhaja sells. Any day I need to buy original cod for someone again, I must go to that lady's stall.
Beautiful market vlog. Prices of foodstuffs has really increased.
Everything in this market is fresh and I love it. 👌👌
You're always uploading at the right time 💯💯💯 just as I'm about to eat
😃
Mama that sells crayfish is very politically aware. The prices of foodstuffs are scary. You got it right, which way Nigeria??? As per Sonny Okosun.
She is indeed!
I love this market vlog. Thank you sis for taking us along. Those stock fish you brought are fresh and big. Please, which side of the market does the Woman stays.
My pleasure. Oyingbo market is just one street. Just follow that street down, turn right at the bend and after about 20m you'll see her on the left. Or you can just ask for Alhaja that sells stockfish.
Alhaja is very pretty
I have be waiting for this market vlog always so much fun to watch
I'm glad you enjoy it. :)
Wow... that was a lot of shopping and I bet it will be tiring. But it sure worth it. I missed Naija and hopefully I can visit this market when I’m home. Thank you so much Aunty Flo for taking us along. I really enjoyed it
Yes, tiring mostly due to the polluted air and talking at the top of one's voice due to the noise from the grinders. Apart from these, the actual shopping is not bad because the porters are carrying the items for you, you just price, pay and move to the next stall. ☺
I'm glad you enjoyed it. ❤ I always enjoy your feedback. Thank you.
Our customary Oyingbo market vlog is here!
Nice vlog , thanks for sharing it's interesting, this super market looks like Globus in ajao estate
Amen and he is still coming 🙏 God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬from Paris France 🇫🇷🙏
I totally enjoyed this market vlog and it’s making me miss home.
Such beautiful and joyful women on the market. I loved watching it, thank you for recording❤
Just discovered you by chance. You are amazing and have humor. I love you cooking style. The Nigerian market shopping is very helpful. Keep up the good work
Beans comes in 100 kg a bag . It’s rice that comes in 50 kg. Thank you
Flo, thank u for this market blog. I am going to that oyingbo market to get food stuff b4 heading back to the state.
Alhaja is my good customer too... I buy stock fish from her with my dry ponmo...
👍👍👍
How do I get to Alhaja' place from YabA
@@fabiyioyinlola9402 enter oyingbo at yaba then drop at oyingbo market.Ask of Num 34 Denton str and ask of Alhaja that sells stockfish
@Fabiyi Oyinlola she's close to the ibo guys that sells dry pepper and all those stuffs.A lady sells ziploc nylons next to her.
Chaiiii, it feels so good to see some of the traders ooooooo, I use to buy from them when I was there.....nice one really
That's one thing with this market, just that one street and the same set of sellers that most people buy from. ☺
Hello Flo,
TO DESLIME SNAILS, POUR BOILING WATER ON TOP
COVER AND LEAVE FOR 10 mins,
THEN, WASH WELL IN COLD WATER.....
I don't like that method because it's like cooking the snails with all that gunk. Then you also pour away some of the nutrients.
Weldone ADABEEKEEE Nnedi,
Journey mercy ndi oma
See you guys this year Christmas with lots of vlogs
THANK YOU SO MUCH MA,I really enjoyed all this vlog,
Obi all the way by God's Grace
Flo baby my sister ❤️, the video is full of humour, very down to earth. I enjoyed every bit 😊 of it. Journey mercies 🙏❣️ my precious sister.
OK 😀 I'm glad to read that. :)
Thank you.
Ó cultura muy diferente a la nuestra pero se ve estas personas contentas y alegres que es lo más importante...
When I was coming this January from Ivory Coast, I brought snail with me. I boiled mine and the slime became like scrambled eggs then I froze all of it over 2 days. My bag was waterproof on the inside and I put everything in plastic bag before putting it in the bag. Since here every time I cook it, I add the slime turned scrambled egg and my stew is just amazing. I feel like I am eating snail. I also agree that food is pretty expensive now back home and salaries are so low for people to sustain😢. We need more farmers to reverse the trend. I am glad I chose to farm chicken and eggs back home. We need more diasporas going home to make farms.
Wait, you eat the snail slime?
Yes we honestly need to go back to the farm. These days we have fewer farmers and more consumers hence the food inflation.
@@FloChinyere yes, when you pick it out of the shell, the slime and blue water mixes together…..all of that is cooked and becomes like scrambled eggs…..that’s eaten and has great health benefits.

I wish I am in your city I will come and enjoy this fresh food with you😊 yes ooooo Peter Obi to the world
Wow, you just took me back to when I was a kid.
I love how you spend your time in Naija Flo. You have customers there. I can't believe those women who will vote for Jesus!! You bought a lot. Much better to buy as much as you can when one travels bc the ones we buy here in the diaspora are not the same
Market in Nigeria is tigbuo zọgbuo. Everything don high. Weldone, Aunty Flo.
Nzogbu nzogbu ooo! Thanks :)

Flo your husband deh enjoy o. Me now over 30 yrs for Germany with my Oyibo wife. I dey manage.
Awww but my oyibo wives, especially the ones living in Germany go to any lengths to prepare Nigerian food for my brothers. I know this because in the early days of my website, they were the ones asking me so many questions on my website. In fact it's mostly because of them that I started this CZcams channel so I could demo how to cook these meals for them. Their questions determined the content I posted here for YEARS. A lot of them also bought my cookbook. So kudos to them. 🙌

Nice vlog Flo, is golden sela basmatic rice the best in Nigeria please @Flo Chinyere?
These are turning into our yearly market surveys 😂 By the special grace of God, the prices that we have been watching increase for the past 8 years will decrease in the next 4!!!
Amen ooo! With the agricultural revolution, that will surely happen!

Yes o, we are indeed lucky because else I for don move back to Naija. 😄
I say AMEN to that mama prayer.
Thanks for sharing this special shopping for the abroad.
But I noticed you do not price at all. 😊
Love love love this oyingbo market vlog!Thank you Aunty Flo! Pls what informs your decision not to buy dry ukpaka?I'll be' waiting for your response Dear.
Dry ukpaka does not revert to how it was before drying. If you like soak it for weeks, even boil it, it is never the same. Same with dry snail and dry leafy vegetables.
@@FloChinyere Okay Dear. Thanks a great deal for this information.
Alum is the best for snails
First.
Awesome please dear sister or brother kindly vote Peter obi
I really wonder how these market women are surviving this current cash crunch 🤔. I really feel for these market women and men cos they are so hard working with no support 😫
Exactly. The stockfish, crayfish and dry fish sellers can start accepting bank transfers. My beans seller was already taking transfers for a long time. Huge adjustments to be made really but it does not make sense for the petty traders (like the udara lady) to accept transfers for small change. I doubt she even has a bank account.
Thank you I love the market show
I'm glad.
My mother smuggled some fresh oha to Texas
😂🤣😂 Nigerians are food ingredients smugglers. The struggle!
That mama that's sells crayfish is our Mama Gee 😃😃😃.Love how our mamas are taking good care of themselves God bless them all 🥰🥰

I did not see our Egusi man, i hope he is well oo
He is fine. 😃 He was still in the village for Christmas when I went to Oyingbo. His boys sold the beans to me.
@@FloChinyere Ooooh okay😄We thank God he is fine! Yes, you said this was early January when you recorded. Those beans will last you longer this time round.
please when you say N800 , N2000 for dried cat fish how many pieces of them do you mean or do you mean the price was per one?
I like the way you pressed on till the women told you their preferred candidate an our future president of Nigeria
Not a good way to press people like that, let people make up their mind themselves. It's up to them who they vote for,it's called choice. Be easy on people so that you don't trip them. As you can see in the video, that first woman doesn't like the way she was pushing her to pick a candidate against her will. Even tho the woman gave in at the end due to pushing but I still respect her courage to stick to her mind in the first place.
I Remember the uziza market woman
Very happy woman, easily memorable. :)
😀😀 Alhaja is so funny.
Which way Nigeria is heading to. Sesfood is too expensive even at Oyingbo market.

Great work, but I was expecting ogbono and egusi price
Oh, I did not buy Ogbono because I still have a lot. Egusi was N6,000 per paint bucket. I didn't show it because when they measured it for me, it was still dark. I was there before daybreak.
