I said no Ive never worked from home. She laughed and said I figured with your weight gain you were forced to work from home and sitting too close to the refridgerator now..... I was already pretty unhappy with how I look. This sent me spiraling.

    1. Love that you are modeling both of the "do" and "don't" clothes. The comparison on the same body really helps! 2. Recap at the end w/the split screen allowed me to focus on the silhouette differences and understand your points. 3. The supportive comments about "walking in your fabulousness" was wonderful. I worked at a boutique, and now in a department store. Women of every shaoe/size do not take control of their clothes. It's discouraging to watch/hear. But like you, I reaffirm their unique awesomeness (after all, there's only one of them!) and remind them clothes work for us, not the other way around.

I pray that we all will be able to beat depression and love ourselves and the people who genuinely love us. We need to recondition ourselves that what society deems as sexy / beautiful isn't real! It's fantasy resulting in the increase of plastic surgery, etc. So many women are literally dying trying to keep up with society's influencer s. We also need to stop judging others and focus more on being healthy- no matter the dress size. Blessings to all you beautiful women!

    What you said about following creators with similar body types is so true. I get to see myself as opposed to wearing or trying something that will never look good on me but looks great on the creator. That is such an important tip.

    Oh wow, you are truly great at this. I have watched others try to do a video on something that I am desperate to hear but they just do not have the talent for doing this (me neither). You start out high energy and stick on point (or on message), you never waffle and don't take all day to start getting to the issue at hand. There are more but my sister is a strategic communications expert and I have learned through her that there is a LOT more to this than just getting up and talking. You do a fantastic job. AND the issue is a very important one. Thank you so much!

    It is so important for young girls to see their moms feeling beautiful and wearing what make her feel confident. Many of us women grew up with moms who had unhealthy relationships with their bodies and did not know how to dress in flattering clothes. Because they didn't have that knowledge of what looks great on them, they couldn't pass that on to us. Thank you for your help!

    • @Discordia5
      @Discordia5 Před 2 lety +1

      This is so true. I grew up in the 90s, when moms all had pixie cuts, and wore unflattering boxy mom jeans with running sneakers. (Not like the cuter mom jeans of today.) Because she was a second wave feminist and working motherher, there was zero encouragement for me to be feminine growing up. I had to learn it myself as a teenager and an adult.

    Thank you for addressing. Quite often, people think you are attacking them, for their size or body shaming. Not at all but there is a difference between chic and distasteful. I'm a slendour body, and believe me, not everything suits me. Self love has many elements that also includes tailoring what suits you, not what is in fashion. On another note, you are beautiful and Ray of sunshine to watch 🧡🧡🧡🧡

    You are adorable. As a 72 year old white woman with belly fat that I cannot get rid of, your advice is really good. People think that I am really slim because I wear artfully applied clothing. I agree with you that you need clothes that fit. Since I sew I can make alterations to make the clothes fit. Sometimes I get impatient and I don’t want to do that but I know it’s the right thing to do.
