In the arabic language there is a quote: "A woman without a tummy is like a sky without stars." Please learn to love yourself, ladies. You are beautiful exactly as you look right now. Wether you're skinny, curvy or whatever.
CHI, it is always so fun to watch your videos. After having baby, the stomach area is never the same. Women with 6-packs after baby is rare. All these tips are very helpful for most women regardless how big a tummy she has. I especially like how comfortable you are in your own skin..... You show the real women's imperfections and teach us how to dress to look our best. I love how real and practical you are.
Thank you! I'm so glad you like it.
Yes, and I did get thin again, even though second child weighed 9 lbs, 9 oz.! But I should have exercised anyways. Now at 66, tummy pops right back out. Mommies: do some tummy toning, even if you think you don't need it, your older self will thank you. That said, six pack abs are not what new moms should worry about, unless their profession requires it.
Don't feel bad, I've never had children and my stomach is an issue in my forties, as well. I'm sure my thyroid issue doesn't do me any favors though. It looks like I would do well to watch more of her videos, myself.
My daughter got her 6 pack, after big weight gain, and 2 babies. But she really had to work for it. You really can only do it by eating in a way that is impossible to maintain and working out with weights daily.
@@johannaholmgren8088 it does take hard work to stay fit. Your daughter is very determined and works extremely hard to get her six pack back. That is a great achievement. For me, I hate weights although I know it is necessary to maintain bone density. I swim two or three times a week, with a core routine in the GYM. It has served me well. I donât have six pack, but lean and proportional. It is a lot easier to maintain the exercise routine when it is not extreme. To have long lasting result, the exercise has to be part of the life style.
I appreciate your focus on real life scenarios rather than the aspirational stuff that seems to dominate other influencers. Also, high waist dresses in stiffer fabrics like linen are amazing camouflage!
High waist dresses are my go-to, especially if the bottom has more fabric
I love how you discuss having a tummy in such a normalised way... Because it's normal! But so hard to believe it needs fixing.
I'm 28, skinny, small, never had kids, but have a tummy - and because I'm small and skinny it's so noticeable! I hate it. I have so many nice items of clothing I wanna wear but don't feel comfortable doing đ
Thanks for the great tips
Thank you for sharing!
I adore your tips and the humorous way you make your point. Thank you for making it OK to have an issue (like tummy) and still look fabulous!
Finally one person talking about petite ladies. Thank you for all the tips.
Wow. No one ever talks about this - being petite/skinny/slim but still with a tummy! Thank you!
This is so refreshing! I'm someone considered thin but I have a tummy and have on multiple occasions over the years been asked if I was pregnant đ€Šââïž Good reminder that it's not just me! Thanks for the tips
Check thyroid and practice sports, be careful with what you eat, and do detox regularly
Me too. I had someone insist I was pregnant at a party and it was really embarrassing . They wouldn't let it go. I was angry especially since everyone knows I was childless by choice. Left that party and went on a diet.
that's a sign of liver disease actually
if you have a gut you need your liver checked
@@lotstodo To leave the party was a good idea. To go on a diet because some a..holes bullied you wasn't a good idea. Love yourself.
@@isabelguaysuaygarcia287 Or maybe just ignore those idiots?
You made this one for me. I had a flat stomach a long time ago. Iâm ok with my older woman figure but still want to look nice. These are great tips along with focusing the outfit on another part of my body: neckline, shoulders, ankles and legs. Thanks for another great video!
I do hate a tummy and it's spoils my look when i want to dress up...I learned not to wear low rise or anything with a belt...thanks for your video I love it!
Omg, I finally feel seen! I am slim otherwise but have tummy AND big butt. Bodycon and paper bag were a disaster on me. I love peplum tops and A line dresses. I feel so validated by this video. And now I have so many more tips!
I have searched all over CZcams for helpful apple tips, and I want to thank you because yours are the best and the most useful.
My favorite outfit is black blouse white jeans, black shoes... I can already hear Chi saying No! Yesterday, I tried black top, white jeans and white boots. I hope to get her approval.
I love your videos! I always learn something and I'm entertained as well. Thank you!
đThankfully, Chi is not militant đ. She understands our quirks, but I get what you're saying.
đ We all break some rules. The blessing of knowing 'em is Chi often offers us solutions to work around the ones we can't stomach. (Pun intendedđ.)
đ€In fact, think last week Chi demonstrated how a contrast in top & bottoms can actually suit some body types w/lrg bust. đSadly, the former can đ« be applied to me for those reasons...
đ"Book-ending" with coloră°ïži.e., matching your topđ & shoesđ„żw/a contrasting pant đ©łă°ïž can be quite attractive.âłAlthough I know such combos do đ« favor međ€Ł. (One of the many reasons I avoid jeansđ.) Sometimes I have no choice when I can't đfind a color to coordinate w/a separate I loveđ.
In đSpring/Summer will sometimes wear a sleeveless white shell w/classic white leather sneakersđ€ to routinely frame a pencil or straight skirt in a contrasting color (like olive green, gray, chambray blue, pink, etc.). Decided it's worth the occasional sacrificeđ from my usual vertical continuous color.

(using my pal's YT acct)
I want to remind everyone it is totally okay if your tammy shows. This is just IF you wanna hide it! You're all perfect đ
Iâm so happy to see this video. Iâm 5â2 and small everywhere but in the tummy. Iâve tried every kind of exercise to get rid of it but itâs not going anywhere. I was kind of worried that something could be wrong with me but now I see that other woman are having this issue as well. It feels great that Iâm not alone and now I have some great tips to help me dress more confidently. Thank you so much!
So glad you love it!
It's not an issue! You are great the way you are.
Omy gosh!!! My sentiments exactly!
I have a tummy! Omg I learned some of these the hard way, including someone asking when I was due. I love your videos
Thank you so much Chi!!! This SUCH a game changer for women like me who have IBS!!! The bloat from IBS kept me from my passion for fashion for a long time. But now with your help, I'll get back to it with confidence, THANK YOU!!! đ
Yes, I too have bloating problem of
stomach from Irritable Bowel Syndrome that has affected the clothes I choose. I didn't know anyone
else did. Thanks for sharing
Haha, me too đ I saw so many nice clothes on other women and tried to copy it only to stand in front of the mirror and thought WTH đ”âđ« It is such a relief to get rid of all the clothes in your closett and focus on a fine selection of oh yes wearables.
Dear IBS sufferers, I feel your pain. And inflammation. And bloat. Please see a naturopath and get your gut tested. I hope to do this myself soon. Also get tested for food sensitivities. I went vegan, eliminated all animal products and grains and I feel so much better. No sugar or caffeine. I also have cancer, working on that one too but even in this situation, my gut has improved.
You can also get tested for micronutrients and vitamins that are missing. Eat raw aloe too. Has enzymes that will heal.
Last of all do a live dark field blood analysis to see what's in your blood. Most people, especially if you have pets, have parasites! Ewwww! Clean them out with "worms be gone"
You will feel better. Functional medicine doctors will help you do all this and get to source if the problem, not just treat.
All this makes logical sense to me. Something is in there that shouldn't be!. Get it out, restore with the good bacteria. Feed these guys what they need and the baddies will be kept in check and you will finally feel good ;)
@@belaynshemengistu7590 This is great advice . I do not have IBS but swear by finding a natropath (word of mouth for an excellent one) they find the problem and fix it with food and vitamins. It works.
Good morning Chi! You and your 'twin' are SOOO entertaining! I always look forward to your videos! I don't have a tummy but I enjoyed watching this and learning your tips!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
Loves these tips. Nothing wrong with a belly as long as you are healthy.
As a petite woman with a belly I appreciate your tips and the way you just show your tummy. I just can't get rid of my mommy pouch and I accepted it. :)
Wonderful tips! You looked fabulous in every outfit. It's so nice to have someone who actually has a tummy showing ideas.
love how you explained why the hacks work. I definitely have made all of these mistakes too
Chi, thank you. Love what you are doing for the petite women. I am 5' and use your tips.
Thank you so much! Glad it was helpful â€ïž
I'm so glad that I already did most of those racks, including the love for peplum! But I didn't know the three collums of color, and it was the best thing I've learned in a long time! Thanks for the video.
We all love comfy knits, but structure is a galâs best friend! Great styling advice, as always, Chi.
Thank you, Kimberly!
Great tips! Iâm over 50 in good shape, but with a tummy. I especially liked the tip of wearing one color, top to bottom, and then adding a jacket or a long cardigan.
I love how you combine your helpful tips and your sense of humor!! Thanks for sharing!
Glad you like them!
YES! I'm so tired of hearing people tell me to wear belts to "create a waistline" to dress my tummy. Ugh! I'm with you-- skinny belts look terrible!
This was great! I like that you help us feel more comfortable and confident in our clothes. đ
I'm fat and I wear stretchy shirts to accentuate my gut. I like the sunshine on my belly, and the looks on the faces of people projecting their insecurities onto me.
Thanks
I know you only wanna help, and I appreciate it a lot! But all through this video I couldn't stop thinking: "What if society just accepted that People have tummys and we didn't have to hide them to feel beautiful?" Can you even imagine how that would feel? â€ïž
I felt the same way. I am petite and have a tummy and I just don't care =)
And I thought you look beautiful in almost all the outfits, hidden tummy or not hidden tummy đ€·
Yes I feel the same way society suck but at the same time I wanna look pretty so this video is for meeeeđ
Society doesnât care. Itâs mostly you (in general) who care.
You donât have to hide it - but this video is for people who want/choose to.
That would feel wonderful â€ïž
People won't be body shamed anywhere ever đ
Ive always done the layer trick! I always get compliments when I do that.
CHI, you make me smile and laugh. Love this video. Thank you.
Good to know those tips. I don't have big tummy, but I suffer from IBS and I often have belly that looks like I was pregnant. That's why I also have problems with belts, trousers, skirts, that are not elastic enough or have gum on top, so it's not squizzing my stomach to the point I cannot breathe. Maybe you can show some tips for bloaters like me? đ
For sure!
Ditto
I am so glad I got high rise jeans for work. Apart from keeping tummy and hips covered when I sit at tills or stock low shelves, they let me do a casual tuck with my long work top that almost creates a peplum.
Thank you for showing real ideas one could use.
This was very helpful and well done! Iâm not petite but I do share the tummy issue and I will take these recommendations to my wardrobe. Thank you
You are fantastic. You combine such useful information with a sense of humor. When I see your videos, I always laugh. Thank you for starting my day on an uplift.
Sushmita: hiding a tummy is key Makes a much better silhouette †your style Will implement a few more ideas which you have shown đ Thanks a million đ
Hi ! Chili ,
Thank you , so much for your wisdom and advice , I've been watching your videos for some time now , and have even taken serious notes and drawn diagrams to help me make right choices , but watching your videos always brings a big smile to my face , and complete enjoyment as you entertainingly show us the way !
Thank you again ! đ Catherine .
Thank you so much, Catherine!
Chi, I love this video. Your videos are so well done. You put your heart and soul into this channel and your content is amazing. You also deliver your content in such a clear and concise way that I can remember what to do. You present the problem, give examples and then provide the solution. I am so engaged right from the beginning. I stumbled upon your channel 2 weeks ago as I decided to clear out everything in my closet that I do not wear and only keep the things that I wear all the time. Your channel has helped me to purge while helping me understand my own aesthetic. It is also helping me to be more organized. I have even been taking pictures of myself in the outfits that I like and that I wear on a regular basis so I can take a good look at my style. This makes my life less dressed and more organized and on timeđI turned 50 on the 14th and I now only have items in my closet that work best for me. Thank you for your content and thank you for the hard work that you put into sharing your tips and wisdom around petite dressing.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like them and it was helpful! â€ïžâ€ïž
Happy birthday!! đ„ł
Thanks for your tips! You are a life saver for many people out there đ
I just love you and your sense of humour!! So glad I found your videos!
I think you were a little harsh about your tummy. You look great. We all have stomaches to eat and live, its human.
Thank you so much for your tips! I am also 5'2" and had my daughter 6 months ago. She was a big baby at 9.5 lbs! Learning to style my post baby body. Thanks for being relatable :)
Oh wow! Hope this is helpful!
@@PetiteDressing Yes thank you it is!!
Congratulations on your baby girl. God bless you sis!
@@April-xq4ll Thank you so much April! :)
Omg! That is such a big baby girl for tiny you! Congratulations ;)
Have been very busy of late but took a few minutes to watch your video! You are so good at what you do! Waiting for a spring/summer video unless I missed it. Thanks for being there for people like me who have zero skills when it comes to fashion. Your the best!!!
Oh wow, thank you!
I knew most of this already because I am also tall so some of this applies to that.. especially the low-rise jeans. Thank you!
you're welcome!
Small is beautifull â€
Such a wonderful video. Thank you so much for discussing having a tummy in such an open way. I am petite and have always had a tummy (even as a kid), so it's so refreshing to get these tips. I love your channel!
I love the 3 colums of colour hack! It's so easy and effective đ
Your tips and tricks are always spot on..you donât have to wear it just because its trendy
i laughed out loud when you sat down in those low rise jeans (been there done that đ). i tried to explain to my husband why i was laughing. He didnât get it which made me laugh again.
I like that you make it real every time and hilarious while giving your two cents and your fashion sense!
Love your presentation ! I found your video helpful and with a great sense of humour. Thank you so much
Thank you for all the amazing tips. I have a little bit of a tummy, so I knew most of the tips. I did learn something new however. Iâm gonna try pleated pants. Iâve always stayed away from them but youâve given me something to think about. đ§
A few years ago I got a pleated jeans from my mom. She used to wear it before she got pregnant with me, and didn't fit into it anymore afterwards. The jeans lay in my wardrobe for such a long time unused, as I didn't want to wear it because I thought it looked sooo old fashioned. I have recently rediscovered it and I love it! It also has some stitched ornament at the top, that looks like it simulates a v-hem. My new favorite jeans đ
Oh goodness I canât live without your videos! This was awesome and very informative!!
Wow, thank you!
Love your videos- they are straight forward and just make sense . Love the 3 columns tip totally works . I'm 52 and have learnt loads from your videos !!! Could you do one about dressing your age but not looking frumpy and petite dressing when you have a short waist , big boots. Thankyou
Thanks so much, very helpful for clearing up some thoughts Iâve had about why some outfits werenât working. I enjoyed the humor.
Thanks for the distinction on different styles of pleated pants. I wrote those off years ago, but will now know to to look. Great video overall, Chi!
Yes! You're welcome!
I can relate. I'm older and agree with everything she says except I had to find out the hard way over time. I'm very small and slim with a pot tummy but will be following from now on. Thank-you â€

Thank you for an entertaining and informative video! Yes, peated pants are a god sent. Also for an inverted triangle
LOL to the low ride jeans! Iâm so glad there are more options now. I have always hated them.
