Good video my bro! Recently I did the test and give me a C1 level (C2 in reading and B2 in listening). I don't test my output skills because I'm afraid but you're right . From now on I'll practice writing and speaking for 1 or 2 hours every day. I've been studying English for about 1 year and I want to get a job as an interpreter by the end of this year. Greetings from Argentina.

I always believed in compound affect in the long term , but I have not been serious yet about practicing English every single day, especially the speaking and writing , but I wll try to put effort as much and possible as i could, and eventually I'm starting to realise that I should be more serious and hard in order to accomplish my highest version of mastering English and i will put in account practicing the output skills every single day , greeting from Egypt everyone.

I have seriously been learning English for 5 years, prior to that i knew most of the grammar and i could read, write and understand bit of it as well. However, during 5 years, i din not reaslise it will take me 4-5 years to reach the current level. I always kept thinking that now i will make it to the advance level in next 3 months but it never happened, i improved drastically though.
In my opinion, there is a big difference between knowing the language and having a strong knowledge to convey your ideas with the use of your target language. I accept that most of us who have been learning for years can speak effective english but you struggle because you do not have the depths knowledge of things even in your native language.
Importantly, As i am writing this comment, i did not notice that i have written a good paragraph. Do you know why i have been able to write? Because i knew the exactly what message i wanted to write.

Actually to make new friends and watch movies or consume media in a different culture is a big motivational factor to learn a new language. Even just to impress people is a good reason..like people work out to get a fit bod why? To look good and impress people aside from the health aspects of it that some do it for i would def say that those are not small goals.. In contrast I've heard alot of Polyglots say well if ur goal to learn a new language is just to get a better job to make money is not a good reason so it's all subjective what's motivational for u might be meaningless to others and vice versa. I Wouldn't dismiss anyone's motivations..

    • @JoaoSales-JP10

I think it's normal not to be able to understand native speakers after such a short time. Each person has their own pace in the learning progress.
After one year, you should be able to understand at least some children's contents, right? But if you feel like you haven't made any progress at all, then you might need to change your method.
I say this because, for most of my life, I believed I wasn't capable of learning English and just accepted that I wouldn't learn another language. But here I am, doing something I never though was possible. All I needed to do was find a method that worked for me!

well, sir, if you think that you are a fluent English speaker. then why did you cut your video so much while making this video

You clearly don't know how youtube works, fluency and camera presence are two complety different things, I'm new to the space, if you look at my channel I have only 20 videos, even native speakers edit their videos a lot, I don't know if you know this but speaking to a camera is really hard when you not used to it. Lol

@@JoaoSales-JP10Don’t listen to the hate and negativity man! Instead of people applauding the hard work it takes to get to this level in a short amount of time, they choose to try to bring people down and point out any little flaw.
For the short amount of time you’ve been learning English you’re definitely on your way to complete fluency. You just have the occasional small mistake here and there with grammar and your accent id give an 8-8.5/10 with sounding like a native speaker. I have no doubt with the effort you’re putting in that you will improve in both of those areas with enough time 💪🏼

If this man thinks he has reached a C2 level, he is wrong. There is a big gap between C1 and C2. He is speaking like a B1.
