    I just found your video when I was researching monopods. I just got a Tamron 150-600 f/5-6.3 G2 for my Nikon D500 and wanted to get a monopod with a Arca Swiss mount. This looks like it would be as close to what I am looking for as anything I have found. I love the way the head is so totally adjustable plus everything seems well thought out for any situation you might come across. This Tamron is hand holdable however I just turned 70 and having a monopod for those times when you are shooting for extended periods is what I need. You video really explained the features really well. I look forward to watching more from you. The top mounting bracket with 30 degree adjustment for me would be advantageous when you are following birds in flight or animals on the move where your movement is restricted. Just my thoughts at this time.
    Again thanks for the informative video.

      Thanks! So many people do long intros so it gets their viewing time up. I don't monetize my channel so it doesn't matter to me.

    Thanks so much. I shoot rodeos and baseball, so this monopod seems fantastic. I didn't understand, tho, what you were saying about the Arca quick release plate and how the 'housing' on the monopod prevents sliding the lens (plate) too far out. Thanks!

    Hi from Italy and thanks a lot for this very weighted review. very interesting to get some review that are crystal clear. would you have some minutes , I would appreciate if you may tell me if the base pice (the one that is screwed on the monopod to let it pan smoothly 05:11) is removable. My demand results from my wish to adapt the Benro VT2 3-Leg Locking base when needed. Thanks again for your attention.

    I like this excellent review and look forward to watching the in-field follow up video. Is it available now? Thanks!

      I am slack on getting the follow up done, but I will say the monopod has performed flawlessly for me. I just get so involved when I am shooting that I forget to do video! I am very please with it for sure!

    Thank you for the good video! One question though: can we remove the head to put another one if needed?

    I just received mine and I find the twist locks and sections very tight. Is this normal. Should the sections just fall out after loosening or do you have to pull each one out?

    • @davidakoubian3025
      @davidakoubian3025  Před 6 měsíci

      They should be somewhat tight, but it should only take about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn to loosen the legs enough to extend them.

      I've just bought one, the click lock is great but the twist locks are awful, one of them functions as it ought, the others are very tight and need a couple of wrist twists to get them undone enough so they can be pulled out. Tightening is the same and needs a daft amount of effort, I can feel the callouses forming. One of the legs has to be undone to the extent the sealing ring is exposed. I have a tripod with twist locks and it's like this. Shame as otherwise it would be really good as the load capacity is great.

      @SurreyAlan I agree. It took me a while before they have loosened up and are easier to twist.

      I did wonder, I applied some of the supplied grease to the seals and have been opening and closing and it feels a little better. It looks very well made, very strong and very light, will be using with a MH100.@@davidakoubian3025
