We docked next to an older '34 Searay for years. Theirs was that off-white-not-tan color with a burgundy top, vinyl, carpet seating/interior. Great boat, cozy but harsh on the eyes, even in black and white pix. Cheers! Best for 2024 /jz.
This is like memory lane for me. I had a 2009 330 Sundancer that I used from Sarasota to Naples. Lots of great trips there. The changes that you made to the boat were the smartest things that you could have done. I would suggest setting the engines and genny up with a fresh water rinse. I had to replace all of my heat exchangers and that was expensive. Happy boating!

Those dual engine sport cruisers are a dream to maneuver. I used to drive my uncle's 38 ft Doral in and out the tight coves at Lake of the Ozarks. You seem a bit out of your element in a motor boat.
$750 for one fillup, $4000 for a dinghy and engine and who knows how much for the rest of the upgrades and repairs, not counting the original purchase price of the boat, I'm afraid I'll have to be satisfied with my little 10 foot kayak. It's paid for, costs nothing but some muscle power or maybe a recharge on the battery if I use the electric motor to move. Power boating is definitely an expensive pursuit.

Bobby, have you considered the DJI Pocket 3 for your land excursions? It's gimbal stabilized and really small. Not weatherproof for the boat stuff but stable and inconspicuous for roaming about town. I bought the creator combo with the DJI Mic included. Pretty happy with it.

I was a sailor and now a power boater with a similar boat here in Texas. I’m really curious after you get past the space issue if you really start to enjoy the faster approach but higher gas bill over the longer stretches but more space. Either way they are both great in their own right. Love to hear your measure of time to pleasure ratio between the two when you get over an express cruiser vs cat.
One more thing Amanda: Bobby is a good guy. Repeat after me: Bobby is one of the good guys. Do not ever state otherwise...but accept responsibility...that is if you ever need to.

Fuel at the dock here in Washington state is way north of $5.50 a gallon.
