It IS just amazing what they have accomplished, and MOST of it just by Dan. I will, however put in a plug for the Chapel at LaLande as one of the most beautiful restorations ever. I think Dan would agree. But it was all done by professionals at a tremendous cost.
At this rate, his chateau could be finished before Lalande. Incredible!

Words cannot express our joy at your satisfaction of getting the last floor down and reaching the top. Enjoy your days off. Knowing you, your mind will be going and you won't really rest until the whole roof is complete. You'll make it before winter - I know you will. Bravo!
It's been such an adventure getting to this point and so much progress has been made, massive, structural progress, that one could be forgiven for feeling like we've reached the end. No. No we haven't. There's still the big, complex Mansard roof to do. The stone walls in the attic space and the upper-most portion of the turret need rebuilding, wiring, plumbing and fitting-out the whole house and so on. There is much yet to be done. I look forward to every second of it!
