Truly lovely indeed .
So florid .
Evokes a fine early Autumn day , with sunbeams bouncing off a tumbling brook .
Love Early Yes followed from the start thanks for the reaction
There's a great video clip from Werner Herzog on the brutality of nature, which in the end he admires. Love this song and really their first two albums are both great.
Great song, never heard this before but enjoyed it.
I don't see anything cold or brutal about this song; it's more "you will be a part of life, as will we all, because we're all going somewhere." I found it comforting, when I was a kid (played this album to death when I was a teenager), and I definitely agree: Jon's voice is surreal. And he does understand how to phrase. His ear is just off the hook. And he completely understands what he's trying to convey, at all times.
i think that dude sitting on the back of your sofa looks like a bit of a survivor!
Yeah, I fired him, just wasn't showing the kind of dedication and effort that I'd expect from my stuffed friends lol
Nice to meet you. Subscribed even without seeing your reaction. Hope I find more Yes, Floyd, Genesis etc. ❤❤ You sound like you live up the road from me 😅
Thank you and welcome x
Love this album. Jon criticized it and said they didn't know what they were doing and that he didn't sing good on this album. He sounds just fine to me. I really like his voice on this first album. Yes, not as good as on future albums, but there's something about his voice on their first 2 albums that I think sounds wonderful.
Oh, it's just as good. But his technique was still evolving. It was just as good, but different. Some of what he does here is actually better then later in his career, so I think of this as an example of genius in progress.
I have time for Yes, but the vocal is Anderson at his wimpy worst. As i'm sure you're aware, they did get better.
Nowt wrong with Jon's vocals early on
@@colinthegeordiehistorian10 I'm talking about a single song. And to my ears, he sounds a touch wet. Just my subjective view.
They were better than average right off the get go..and "progressed" into the greatest ensemble in music. ALL MUSIC
