Suggestion: Use smooth sandstone for the walls and "exposed" mushroom block for the carpet floor. Smooth sandstone is, in my experience, though still bad, the best block to use for the Backrooms walls. The "exposed mushroom block" is a mushroom block (either the brown block, red block, or stem block) that has been next to another mushroom block, which causes the insides of the fungus to be revealed. It has this sort of light-brown, light-yellow texture and looks pretty dang good for the carpet's canonical color. Of course it will be tedious to try and constantly be exposing the block by placing a mushroom block above it, so I use world edit to "stack" already exposed mushroom blocks. For the ceiling, use quartz blocks for it, (the normal one with the defined borders, not the smooth version or anything) and use iron blocks with lights (the "light block" was recently added to the game for map makers) under them. They look like actual florescent lights and give off light (from the light blocks). It looks pretty dang good.
I would use light gray terracotta for the ceiling and brown concrete powder for the floor and red stone lamps for the lights but it’s still a good build
I used sandstone just regular sandstone for the floor and ceiling and the new frog light the orange frog light for 1.19 for lights and the walls were made out of stripped birch logs! And in dark areas where I didn’t include light I put redstone on the ground as if it were blood and also redstone blocks and one Steve head I will make level 2 soon!
I know how to take this one step further with the Walls. Use yellow stainned clay down only one block high and the other yellow concrete 3 blocks high that's how I did it

There’s actually a easier way to make floors, roofs and walls. There’s a command called “Fill” and you can use coordinates to fill different places. To use it you must select one corner and either say /setworldspawn and copy the numbers or just turn on coordinates and write down the coordinates you got, then go to the other corner and do the same thing. When your finished say “/fill -43 39 -293 -29 58 263 grass_block”. TIP: The -43 39 293 -29 58 and 263 including grass_block were just an example you have to put the both coordinates you got and then choose your block. If you want it to change a specific type of block like swap grass blocks with stone then say “/fill (Your coordinates) (Your coordinates 2) stone replace grass_block”. And boom you found an easier way to make walls, roofs and floors also I subbed so you can get to 500 subs

I used Grass Path for the floor, Stripped Birch Log for the walls, Beehive for the roof, and Sea Lantern for the lights. I recommend using it so it'll look better or more related to The Backrooms
