DON"T ever apologize for getting emotional especially with Pink Floyd songs. Pink Floyd is an experience, a journey. If you do feel emotional, the song hit you right. Been listening for over 50 years and they still get me emotional (yes, I am an emotional Italian).

Only 53. But the last 3 years of my life have been deeply transformative. I have connected with myself more than I could have conceived. With it came a move from fear of getting old and death toward the beauty and naturalness of the cycle. That doesn't mean I don't mourn my loved one, but I appreciate the process. And now. Even mourning and crying, I still feel connected and at peace.
      Weird, I know.

    • @TheFremenBlue
      @TheFremenBlue Před 4 měsíci +2

@@MhantraxI don't think that's weird at all - that's spiritual maturity. I feel the same way - I don't fear the reaper (although tbh I'm not looking forward to the reaping process, as Woody Allen said, I'm not afraid of dying, I just don't want to be there when it happens, lol). I know exactly what you mean about mourning, having lost my sister last year. I felt as you describe. Everything is connected in this one grand, glorious system, and I'm content with my tiny part in it. It all is as it should be. Nothing is going to happen to me that hasn't happened to every living thing that ever lived. "Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime." Shine On!

I recall a story I read one time where a guy said that he had graduated from college, but was just coasting along, delivering pizza, not really caring about anything. One day this song came on the radio and he really heard it for the first time. He started weeping right there and had to pull off the road. The next day he applied to graduate school in an entirely different country, just to completely break out of his pattern. At the time of his writing he had a great career, a fiance, and everything was going good. He credited his entire turnaround to hearing this song, when he was ready to hear it. One of the most powerful songs ever written.

I may have missed out on years of being productive , I am now doing well and now know how to enjoy life to its fullest every day. I am 66 and graduated high school in 1975. That year my life was just starting. I saw Pink Floyd in April 1975 at the Cow Palace south of San Francisco. That concert was the best I have ever attended. They played alone for 4 hours. Entire Dark Side of the Moon album and entire Echoes album and several songs from their new album Wish You Were Here. I still have the comic book program they gave out as you walked in the Arena. I saw them again in May 1977 at the Oakland Coliseum Arena and many rock critics say they were at their best that tour and show I saw. They were incredible. I saw so many great concerts in the 70s and 80s. Led Zeppelin, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, The Rolling Stones, Lynryd Skynryd, Dave Mason, Fleetwood Mac, Robin Trower, Frampton, Tom Petty, The Cars, The Allman Brothers, Journey, The Who, Jethro Tull, Rod Stewart and many more. Don't apologise when your heart speaks. Music touches it, and there are things you feel but can't name. It's the same for everyone. Music is often inexplicable because it actually has a magic in it. And a person like you, who is so wonderfully open, can feel this magic. Maintain your openness and ability to feel magic throughout your life.

Please don’t ever apologize for feeling these songs. They made this music for us to feel it and get something out of it about our lives . When we cry it just means it’s working and we are understanding the music the way they want us to. If u don’t cry during PF once in awhile then u just aren’t listening hard enough . Just go with it . We expect u to cry FYI! We also cried when we heard this song for the first time and I still cry sometimes even after hearing it 1,000 times over. That’s the magic and the gift their music brings. It makes us get in touch with emotions we rarely explore or want to explore ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤍Therapy before there was Therapy so to speak🤍

This is one of the best reaction I have seen before. I have been grown up with this music (my birthday is in the year 1959) and this music was normal for me. But now I have seen how younger people are reacting to this music and I am so happy. Because this music was normal for me and I didn't realize how great this music is.
But now I know and I am happy young people are recognizing how great this music is.
Thx a lot to all of you, you made me so happy and you made it I am recognizing which perfect and amazing music this is.
Sorry for my english, my native language is german, I am from Austria in the middle of Europe where famous musicians were born :)

Your reaction is what I remembered feeling when listening to this album at my uncle's house for the first time. He had it on Reel to Reel, back in the mid 70's, and put me on my back, eyes closed and had two Allegro speakers in an A shape over me. Never forgot each visual journey this album evoked. You might want to listen to it from start to finish...later. Thank you

Great reaction. I first heard this song aged 10 in the early 1980's and it blew me away as had not heard anything like this before but was too young to appreciate the lyrics. As you get older and the decades pass the meaning of the song hits very deeply. The whole Dark Side of the Moon album is a masterpiece and I recommend listening to it from start to finish.

A pleasure to watch. Dark side of the moon is for me the perfect album. When I listen to it, I feel like I've spent a quarter of an hour listening to it. Time has a superb intro and a wonderful Gilmour solo. thank you very much for the analysis/reaction. I'm 58 and I know that in ten years' time I'll still be listening to this album.

When i saw you close your eyes and put you hands over the ear phones i knew you got it. in 1994 i flew from Australia for the PULSE concert, Comfortably Numb has Dave Gilmour playing at his best. especially the second solo which is arguably the BEST most epic solo you will ever hear. he can make a guitar, talk sing and cry all at the same time. another great song is Wish You Were Here, which is the song i taught myself to play acoustic guitar on. i'm 70 and have been a Floydy for 50+ yrs now. Don't stop your journey, you wont be disappointed !!!!!!!!!

Well done for listening from the beginning. Most people start at the chimes. This is a song which “chimes” with so many people. “One day you find ten years have got behind you”...with me it was four...I was lucky and caught up. I’m 75 now and it’s still such a true song...”shorter of breath...every by year is getting shorter...plans that come to naught...hanging on.”

Don't apologize for crying, this is a profound song, and it's really powerful. I'll tell you what you could do is simply listen to the entire album because it's a concept album of sorts but the track sequencing is amazing and some of the songs flow right into the next one and it is so atmospheric.

Don't apologize! The ability to feel and express emotion is such a valuable trait. This world needs much more of it. Because its real and honest. And this song mirrors those traits, so it will elicit those feelings. Everyone who hears this song has a different background, life journey, pain, joy, and all of the above. But we all are an inevitable victim of time. It rules us all. And the ability to allow different people to share an emotion together is so powerful and beautiful. This is my first time watching one of your reactions, but I will for sure be checking out more. Just stay true to yourself, never feel bad for being yourself, and it will allow the listener to experience what you're experiencing with you. It's extremely powerful in ways I'll never be able to explain. lol I hope you and anyone who happens to read this has a lovely, safe and positive day/night!

My first ex-wife was a bit younger than me, so I introduced her to Pink Floyd. The first hearing this she freaked a bit because she had a "thing" about loud bells. But she did fall in love with them almost as much as I do. When you are young you take time for granted, but with every passing year as you get older, the lyrics mean more to you. Time goes by quicker, and you wonder where it all went to.
