Dirty Cold Start - 390 Stroker (428 FE)

- Spring morning, early cold start of the dirty 76 F250 428 FE (Hedman Ceramic Coated Headers, Flowmaster 40's). Moving her to the shop (Driveway) to add a 1" lift spring and remove the front spacers. When it's all done this dirty girl is getting a bath, been 3 months....
Total of 3" front leaf springs and 2" rear from Skyjacker. All shocks included in the kit along with a dual steering stabilizer. She rides down the road perfectly, not to ruff, not to soft. Clears lock to lock 37x14.50x15 Toyo MT's on 15" Bart Super Truckers.

I have a 76 F100 with a 428, Hedman headers, and Flowmaster 40 series. Sounds very similar to yours. Mine is way more cold natured though with the 750 double pumper and no choke, lol.

A stroked 390 is 410 cu in . A stroked 406 is a 428 . A 390 has a 4.05 bore a 406 has a 4.13 bore a 428 has a 4.13 bore and a 3.98 stroke .
I just recently bought a red 1976 f150 4x4 that is very similiar to yours. Mine doesnt have the side lower tool box tho. I do have a 74f100 that has one.
I had a 68 thunderbird suicide doors and a 69f-250 390 ci miss it but I still got a 55chevy panel truck 265 ci 8cyl three on the tree 😂

Thanks for the comment. The previous owner took a 390 (4 bolt motor mount) and replaced the internals with a 428 kit. We've measured the stroke 3 different times at 4.125". Assuming it a Scat or similar kit. In regards to the cam, note to sure. Since we found her in GA, we've add a Skyjacker lift, Hedman Headers, Holley 950cfm HP Street, Flow Master 40's, Holley Fuel Pump, 37's, Master Cylinder, Brake Booster, all brake lines (stainless), new rotors, and Brake Calipers. Next on the project list is a rear fuel tank from Aero Tank. Cheers!

Thanks for the comment, agree! This video was a quick one, shot while warming her up and moving her to the front of the house to install a 1 inch front leaf lift. Spacers removed and 37x14.5's cleared without rubbing!
