I originally wanted to wait until my cats are gone because they are old. But sometimes plans change, as in our case. We were able to adopt a Quaker parrot short noticed (previous owner surrendered him from one day to another) while we were at a Senegal rescue where we were to meet and get to know more about Senegal parrots. Our cats accepted the bird as a family member. We are always around, and the birds rules the house. When he screams, the cats run and hide. It can go well. Just my 2 cents for people who were asking about bringing home a parrot to a home with a cat. It is possible. Always be watchful and around, of course.
Of course, plans change all the time! It’s great that your bird rules the house😊 and that the cat is supervised!🐱
My bird sometimes drink tea from my cup..what’s the big deal not everything needs to be done as rule book…relaxx just dont overdo anything but keep your bird happy
That's the motto we go by. Keep the bird happy and healthy. My bird is not a fan of most vegetables. So, all those wonderful chop recipes are mostly waste in my house. I tried everything. So, that doesn't go by the bird food book. 😂🤣 I make birdie bread and mix in chopped veggies. He likes that. Gotta trick those buggers 😊
And mia lives as a royalty sorry but most bird owners do as best as possible subject to their own means….i cant buy all these “toys” dnt have that free kind of money
I only by foot toys and my bird plays with stuff from my household. He does not play with all those hanging toys. We all can do only our best.
