- This is San Juan Puerto Rico travel guide we explore the area known as Old San Juan as well as the new town. We start out at the hotel resort in Isla Verde beach then head down into the old town. We also make a stop at the famous home of the original Pina Colada and then go to Fortaleza. We also check out the original Spanish Fort that over looks the bay.

Puerto Rico has so many beautiful places Crystal blue waters, big cave systems, a literal rain forest, you don't need a passport if you are from the us, many people there actually speak English, yet so many Americans have never been. That... blows my mind.

I am Domincan and I visited Puerto Rico for the first time, and got shocked how beautiful it is; specially the colonial site they have preserved it very well.
Thank you, I’m so proud of my land and it’s preserved very good. It just feels so rich as far as the original PUERTORICAN food and habits of my boricua people. It’s beautiful and the going out at night is a dream. I love hearing the coquis at night and those loud as gallo as our alarm lol beaches and food is the ish…

As a puerto rican I fell like puerto rico is a great place to visit. Every time I got to my grandmother's house all of the neighbors always welcome me I mean even an owner of a restaurant knows my name. All I'm trying to say is that almost all puerto ricans are very kind. Just don't come to puerto rico if you get nauseous easily because there are a lot of twist and turns on the roads.🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷

Just a heads up.. downtown San Juan is Hato Rey. Here what we see is the convention district... very nice indeed. I would like to do the zip line... that looks like a lot of fun! 👌 🙂😁

Great video, very informative and accurate information. Only thing I’d say is that it probably isn’t a great idea to “visit” la perla in the evenings or at all without accompaniment from a local. The neighborhood has a reputation for being a little sketchy and at times dangerous for tourists.
I went in there by myself ....walked tr the tunnel I enjoyed a couple beers inside one of bars just support the locals. I spent about an hour inside ,it looked like a carnival in there , I didn't have a bad experience, I would go back.

A lotta people say no one out side!! You see! PR have rules you don't see that Latin America selling stof in the streets,side walks, every where,every one is in the malls with air conditioner like the USA,at night is people out,and even at night is rules,in old San Juan people go to bars and clubs or peseo de la princesa,la placita,condado,T mobile center,movies,El malecon de puerta de Tierra,piñones,and in top of that every one owns a car no one walks around is just like Florida no one sell stof in the streets,unless you want a piragua,food trucks have rules when it is comes to the metro area! So PR is different in that aspect,enjoy the enchantment ☀️🏖️🌅 of beutifull 🇵🇷🇺🇸

A great friend of mine who's from Puerto Rico descends from Balearic Islanders.
He's living in the USA, because he's chosen to be US citizen, even though his paternal grandfather was from Mallorca, hence Spanish.
I believe this would be a wonderful trip, the island and its people seem amazing.

Nice video. I first went to Puerto Rico in 1973 as an eight year old and lived on Fort Buchanan. We were there until 1977 and it was hard to leave. I have been blessed to return many times due to work requirements. Puerto Rico feels like coming home. I hate that the hurricanes and Covid have changed things. Many small businesses have had to shut down, but slowly some are returning.
Love your video. I'm here visiting now for a week staying at El San Juan Hotel. Unfortunately, tonight my vacation comes to an end. I had an amazing time overall. Wished I could have explored it the way you did.

La conservación del Viejo San Juan tal como está, se le debe a Ricardo Alegría y al Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña del que él fue su primer presidente. Hubo algunos, entre ellos un político millonario, que queríandemoler sus estructuras porque visualizaba la isleta como un Manhattan caribeño lleno de rascacielos. Si hoy tenemos esa hermosa ciudad colonial se lo debemos a ese hombre visionario: RICARDO ALEGRIA.
