He was hurting my brain, he kept pushing unlawful authority, and he's harassing people exercising their rights. Nobody should have to spend all this time with these uneducated law men.
So true, his insolence was making my eye twitch.
He didn't like the fact that James had the temerity to assert his rights, and that he wasn't fearful. He gave this little fella ample opportunity not to do anything to lose his qualified immunity.
You know what I think? There must be some memo that went around advising police officers that they really have no concerns about losing their qualified immunity. I believe there is a metaphorical "don't worry, we have your back no matter what" reciprocal understanding that's in place. There has to be... Because these guys just don't give a damn... They'll look you in your face and say anything and everything that's wrong!
So this cop would pull you over and tell you" I am citing you for excessive speed"
" Officer, I was doing the posted speed!"
" I am informing you, because I told you, the speed limit is 35MPH! Because I told you so!"
Can you imagine that a deputy “ Commander” is terrified of ONE free citizen in a parking lot. That’s just pathetic what they have become.

The fact that the cop is willing to argue with the citizen for 20 minutes tells me that there is no law, because if there were a legitimate law the police officer would have already arrested the citizen and removed them.

This is the thing, the problem with cops is they try to interpret laws to fit their narrative, he was mentioning case law that was referring to private property, he was trying to use that case law to fit into the public property mandates, that is not how the law is written...basically he's an idiot

He realized he bit off more than he could chew on threats of trespassing. He was dealing with a superior in the knowledge dept. It's great when they're humbled in the end.
Remember two important things people.
#1: the police are legally allowed to lie to you. That means that they can make up laws that don't exist and tell you that you're breaking them.
This basically makes speaking with them pointless because they can just say anything they want and they will.
#2 if a police officer has the legal authority to trespass you, arrest you, or even tackle and beat you, they will not hesitate to use that authority. If a cop is arguing in circles with you, that means that he has no authority to do anything further. Call their bluff. Tell them you're not interested in having a conversation any longer and if they're going to arrest you to just do it and get it over with. They walk away every time. But if they don't, you sue their ass and you make money.
That was one of the biggest mistakes when the supreme court allowed police to lie to the public. The supreme court could have dilineated the allowance to an arrested person as compared to a citizen in public.
Crazy they can lie to you, but if you lie to them get ready for multiple felonies. You can't make this stuff up
