Yes aleksander is an amazing character, I actually like show darkling a lot more than book darkling, though darkling in the books is a super interesting character as well, he was the best character in the original grishaverse trilogy in my opinion

Actually the best book from the trilogy is the first one. The second one kinda has no plot and the third one is just straight up disappointing. It’s only going downhill from here if they stick to the books :(

Season 1 worked because they gave the Crows a backstory and followed S&B but I'm worried about what they're gonna do in season 2? Following SoC would be awesome, but I feel like they should have their own separate show for that because the heist is very long and detailed, so if they had to add Alina into that it would be messy. Besides jurda parem and Alina or the Darkling in the same time frame is a no no.

Nope actually they r equally popular. I love Darkling alot and specially some of his lines in the books but if u talk about books then according to me only crows version was well written as compared to it's all other parts. Demon in the wood was also really good. I only liked these two books. The thing is that I like crows all together as a team and Darkling alone is interesting enough.
After the first episode I didn’t even care about the crows or Mal. Lol I skipped all of their scenes until they got to the little palace 🤣😂🤣😂 lol I did not care about any of them. I was way more interested in storylines and hoping for more storylines for Genye and David and Ivan and Fedyor. The goings on at the Little Palace had all of my attention everybody else were just in the way.

i mean, he never actually cared about Grisha. he just wanted more power because he felt he had a right to it because he was a man with power to begin with. he openly and unapologetically murders like half the Little Palace just cause they didn't want to become imperialists like him then kills off more Grisha until there's not that many left. no one made him do anything, he chose the life he did and saying otherwise is a huge disservice to him as a character who is proud of the things he did. he chose to harm and mutilate people. like... he literally says that he doesn't feel bad for anything he did - which includes sexually assaulting Alina and having Genya get r*ped for like 10 years. it's not a girl's job to fix a sh*tty man.

This is a rare case of the adaptation being so much better than the book! Currently reading the first Grishaverse book and quite unimpressed (I started with the Crow books, those were much better). Alina is so much more interesting in the adaptation!
