I go to help others. Don't expect a professional production! Tesla Service were unable to rectify the issue, and from other reports it seems to be a problem. I was unable to find a solution so I decided to find one.
The car is still under warranty, and both rear doors have obviously been worked on before (tape on door frame openings has been replaced). It also looks like both rear door handles have been worked on, as the cover was off the left hand door and wires hanging out, and the right hand door handle was misaligned and mounting nut loose. Tesla refuse to give me access to previous service records from the time prior to when we purchased the car. I can only speculate that in the past the door handles may have cause the windows not to retract (as I've seen in other videos). The doors may have then been closed with the glass not retracted and glass hit the chrome roof trim??? That's the only way I can think of that would have bent the window regulator rail mounts out of alignment so much.
Tesla suggested I may need both rear door glass replaced at my expense. That's why I decided to fix it myself.
Hopefully this video may help others in the same predicament.
A big thank you to Rich Rebuilds for all his helpful videos. He actually made me decide to buy a second hand Tesla after seeing how they tick, and realising I can fix them myself. • How to take apart a Te...

This is excellent. My rear right glass also has the same gap at the top near the front. I’m going to give these tips a go first. Thanks for posting this mate!
