ahh man, memories. Back in 2006 I went on a senior trip to the mountains. Me and my friend (being hardcore Freedom Call fans) sang this song over and over during the long hike. By the end of the trip the whole class was chanting The Wanderer over the mountain tops. Truly epic!
This song makes me cry every single time I hear it. It reminds me so much of my own life. And how we should all keep going, never loose hope. Simply beautiful :]

So Freedom Call is directly linked to two of the best power metal bands in the world. I want to see them all tour together, and to get a ticket to this tour.
There's a song by a Swedish band called "Nordman" which has a song called "Vandraren". That's the exact translation of The Wanderer, and the lyrics pretty much the same. xD I love this.
@doghousepiiman never wanted to imply that there is something wrong with happy metal... I like it and I think music that is depressing isn't worthwile. It's just that happy metal is a bit simple according to music and the theme. Whcih also isn't a bad thing in any way.
