(not for everyone i know) with these chow mein meals i take a pair of scissors and just make some random cuts into the noodles. makes them more manageable to get on the fork,

Thanks for the warning of the mediocre taste and miniscule prawns. I added a portion (180g) of garlic, parsley, butter and wine prawns cooked separately from raw and served alongside. I added a half teaspoon of mixed spice to the juices from the garlic prawns and added that to the chow mein. That added enough flavour to make the dish delicious. I heated the chow mein in the oven for 35 minutes and none of the meat was “firm”.
Overall, with a few prawn crackers left over from a Chinese takeaway, it was a great meal for my wife and me.
I have a couple of other Farmfoods signature dishes to try - I look forward to trying them.
In my experience Brian, a good amount of the Signature dishes have been really nice, but it sounds to me as you know how to cook well enough to not need them.
Nah, I’m a www.chef - I use the internet for ideas and then raid the wife’s kitchen cupboards for the extras. Substitutions are not uncommon. I’m happy to let Farmfoods manage the dozen or so main ingredients and just add the extras myself. Keep up the good work!

Walter the walnut has to stay as he's too big to dig up now. Cattaroni has grass where she's going, plus it's a quieter area. I've bought Coco a satnav, and he's happy with his new parking spot!

I've given up on supermarket chow meins, they're all just wrong, I'll wait for you to discover a good one for us although I'm not holding out much hope!
I've tried as many as I can find Steve and nothing! There's a gap in the market for whoever wants it!

Once again papps thanks for the heads up I think I'll give this one a miss for one pound more my local Chinese takeaway does lunch time specials and even though it's only a small amount of the menu great value and convenience when your on afternoons back from work just after ten and pop it in the nuker job done 👍👍🍜🍜

Hey Paps, have you tried Cooks pie, mash and liquor from farmfoods? I had one the other night, I put it in the oven, I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. Think it was £1.50.

What a shame Papp... Although this was a Special Chow Mein... And my favourite Chinese meal is a Beef Chow Mein... I was still expecting so much more from a Farmfoods £2.99 signature ready meal...
