I get Asda essentials under £2 when I got them I mack ready meals with mashed potatoes on top with cheese yummy 😊

This was ok Paps, but no flavour, I had to ad an oxo and salt and pepper which made it bearable. Can't beat the M&S one, but that's £4.50 now!
Looks like you'd have to graft hard to make that palateable, suppose just a good bit of curry powder might help.
The intro to Granada sounded hard to perform...a vituoso performance maestro!!
I can only imagine if one was to (beef it up) with seasoning and carrots and peas and slop some mash on top, it may pass as a cottage pie.(ish)

It doesn't look all that appetizing as it is, so adding something like 2 minute noodles and a garnish would bring it round a bit.

I've never tried the cheaper asda stewed steak, don't think I ever will either. Thanks for trying it out, so that I don't have to. I do like the normal asda ones, so I'll stick with those paps.
Doesn't help that the label on the can makes it *look* like dog food.
What would you do with this? Use it as a pie filling? Put it on some mash or a jacket potato? Tablespoon of curry powder?
If you pimp it, any of the extra Ingredients would surely negate the "budget" price.

The one's I got was proper chunk of beef that looks bitty 😮
Might be a cheapo product but it is what it is... makes a fray bentos pie taste better (which doesn't take much) and with a higher beef beef percentage

I think I will leave that stuff alone it's undoubtedly made from an old cow from somewhere in the UK or Ireland or a mixture of both. I always remember one of my customers telling me that she made a meat pie out of tinned dog with added veg and gave it to her husband for his tea after she found out he had been cheating on her she asked him if he enjoyed it and he said it was lovely at which point she told him what it was oh dear. It just goes to show you just don't know what is in these cans.
I think I'd rather have a tin of dog food thank you very much great review paps 🤗
