Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia - Yes, I'm going to call this the most beautiful national park in Europe. The Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia is one of the most incredible natural landscapes I have ever witnessed.
Plitvice Lakes National Park (Plitvička Jezera) is 300 square kilometers of deep green lush forest, and features 16 incredible lakes, all inter-connected by a seemingly endless series of majestic waterfalls.
The Croatian National Park a well-deserved UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Croatia.
If you're looking for the best things to do in Croatia, I highly recommend coming to Plitvice National Park.
Just be careful of what time of year you come to this National Park, because it does get very crowded in the summer months. I would actually love to come back to Plitvice in the fall!

The natural beauty of Croatia is heartbreaking, I have visited several times and each time it gets harder and harder to leave. I will either have to move here or never visit again. Leaving Croatia each time is getting more and more soul destroying. Croatia is heavenly, no words can do it justice, those that have been know what I mean. @@theone7891 nope, he did not, we often bitch a lot about our country, but about the government 100% of the time, and we often exxagerate at it, like all europeans do, know all the faults even the tiniest, neglect other things like the safety which is higher than in the most of the eu, not to mention the rest of the world.
But talking about the beauty of our country, so much of it in all the different ways with different landscapes and different climates on sucha small turf, nah bro we are undivided at that, it is literarly the main theme of our national anthem, our country in all of its beauty.

For such a small country Croatia has something for everyone...and everything is within short drive.

one of the reasons why I moved back to Croatia is bc it's such a beautiful country with so much diversity, lush green forests, beautiful Mediterranean beaches, snow covered mountains ❤️ and it's a very safe country also...

We went there today with the upper lakes closed due to flooding. I compared my picture of the big waterfall to this video, and it’s amazing how much more water there was today. Even some of the boardwalks were partially submerged today.

I have visited Plitvice about 5 years ago and also visited Krka just a few weeks ago. Both are really stunning and so beautiful and there is no way how the water cannot be described how incredible, blue and clear it is. I think I probably prefer Plitvice just marginally, they are beyond comprehension. When I visited Plitvice, there was a moment where I was looking down on the falls, lakes and that stunning water. If that was the last sight I would ever see in my life, what a perfect and relaxed way to go!
We actually decided to skip Krka on this trip because it did seem really similar, but I would love to go back and visit soon!! 🙌
@@GarethLeonard I would give them both a go as they are both great and deffo worth a visit. You have tempted me to pay another visit to Plitvice as it was sheer heaven. It defies explanation!

So happy you went to Zagreb and Plitvice! While the beaches of Croatia are spectacular, we loved inland Croatia so much more, and Plitvice was probably the best national park we've ever been too!

My wife and I was there October of last year. We got lucky because it was the last day the park was open for the season. It’s the most beautiful place we have been. It was a dream come true to be there. Awesome vlog as always.

Congratulations for your national holiday on 25th June Croatia from your friends in Germany
By 2020, Statehood Day was celebrated on June 25. On September 19, 2019, the government changed the law on national holidays and officially moved this holiday from June 25 to May 30. On May 30, 1990, the first democratically elected multi-party Parliament was constituted, which is the significance of this date.
Plitvice lakes are perfect in the winter when covered by snow. Plus it's not packed with tourists so the entire experience is so much better

Go in winter (snow), autumn and summer/spring... then compare colors. For me, difference is so significant that I believe visiting Plitvice only once is simply not enough
We went in September of 2020 and we were one of maybe 100 other people in the ENTIRE park. We felt like we had this piece of heaven to ourselves. It was so epically amazing. We couldn't stop talking about the water. So amazing.

Plitvice is definitely place where you can connect with nature and feel fantastic peace and calmness. All this water…beautifull collors…calming sounds. If you can go in the less crowded periods like spring, autumn it’s even more rewarding. I just love it.

We visited Plitvickie Lakes at the beginning of this month with a group. We were staying at Krk and later at Rab. At Rab island it's really beautiful, when you dive into the sea everything seems to be alive, there's a reef. Unlike in other places where I've been. I hope to go next year as well.
Krk and Rab are Beatiful..but Islands in Dalmatia(sauth Croatia) are on another level..

Plitvice now has a limited number of visitors per day, before until they introduced it, it was more crowded.
I love visitor restrictions on all National Parks. It's very smart, and completely necessary.

Just small advice as a Croat,if you wanna go to Plitvice lakes make sure the weather is sunny, because only that way you will see a great spam of colors,green blue mostly
i dont know have you been, but you must visit Krka National Park, because it is also beautiful park with rivers, lakes, waterfalls, creecks and the big finale..the river flows into the Adriatic sea

Park Plitvicka jezera must be the cleanest pollution free air to breathe in, and the cleanest natural water of all Southern Europe. Endless forests in an industrial undeveloped region. And yet, people run to the cities like sheep's to their herd..
I hope more parks learn from their regulations to control the populations and maintain the beautiful nature! 🙏
