The car you're designing looks a bit like Jaguar Vision GT! I do somehow like crazy, rare, and almost nonfunctional designs; Pinterest is full of them. ...And I do like the Vision GT

the whole allure of cars are the functional aesthetics, some of the most beautiful cars in history are derived from racing. Aerodynamics and engineering is what makes authentic beauty as well as classical design. To complain about the function as a limitation is very naive as you aren't appreciating why cars even exist. Your designs aren't car designs they are essentially a sculpture that coincidentally has 4 wheels at the corners. When design has a function it amplifies the beauty, hence why manufacturers put fake diffusers or vents on cars as it gives the sense of function. I think personally the limitations of engineering and aerodynamics are what breeds good car design and not what holds it back.

He spoke about the importance of functional design in the beginning and fully understands it. What he is trying to convey is that he also enjoys the creative and artistic side of car design. As designers we like exploring weird and unusual concepts because it frees us from constraints and some of these crazy ideas may even spark a new and fresh way that can be applied to practical design projects in the future.
