- Hi everyone,
This is my collage for week 30 of the challenge being hosted by Margarete Miller this year ( see below for details, if the #2024CW challenge is new to you and/or if you’re interested in taking part).
The prompts set for this assignment were as follows:
1. ‘Something associated with a specific place you’ve visited’ ~ A lovely
little unassuming stone footbridge over Langdale Beck holds a very
special place in my heart, so I chose a specific sketch from a book by
A. Wainwright depicting that very same bridge.
2. ‘Something ornate’ ~ A piece of ‘busy’ and to my mind somewhat
ornate wallpaper was my choice for this prompt.
3. ‘Textured paper’ ~ A piece of green, embossed, light weight cardstock
4. ‘A flower or plant’ ~ I used one that I wrestled to fussy cut a wee while
ago.
5. ‘A clothing tag’ ~ A garment alterations/repair tag was my choice for
this prompt.
Bonus ‘A sewing stitch (real, drawn or stamped)’ ~ I chose to do a couple of lines of machine straight stitch using dark green thread to match my textured paper and to frame my footbridge image.

Carol another beautiful collage and one of my favorites. I love the colors, your fussy cutting is outstanding and layering the stamps was the perfect solution for that corner. Brilliant! Hugs from me
That is so kind of you. That corner definitely needed 'something' to soften it, didn't it. If I'm honest it was pure luck those three stamps layered so well....lol. @@oakhousejournals I'm actually having a bit of a dodgy week healthwise, but 'this too shall pass' as my grandmother used to say!! Nothing drastic thankfully.

Definitely one of my favourites so far ... LOVE the colours and that fussy cut is amazing! Using the 3 of those stamps the way you did was very clever - you did a great job. (I recognise that stencil, lol)
