Miyako is not "only" classically trained. She holds a BA in Music Education on Piano. She started on piano since age of 3 and was trained as a concert pianist. Piano is her main instrument. Guitar is "only" her second instrument and is self taught. She can also play bass and drums. Yeah, a Jedi level talent.

To think they could play thrash with the big 4 and then they go do this. You were spot on - they are the most talented band on the planet! They've been together since 2016...the great metal bands of the 80s been doing it for 35-40yrs. C'mon now...imagine what they'll be able to accomplish in another 30yrs. The thought is both terrifying (for other bands) and exciting for all of us fans!! You have to do some of their thrash and progressive to see what they can truly do. Blown away by 2 songs, lol...you've got a long way to go with LOVEBITES. 🐺🦊

After you’ve seen them live, their videos pale in comparison. Miyako, the pianist, and Midori, the blond guitarist, are arguably the best twin lead guitarists in the world at this time. If you’d like to see them engage in a guitar duel, the likes of have not been seen before, then install seat belts on your chair and check their live concert performance of Scream for Me. I counted about 16 total handoff solos between them and the last minute and a half is intense.

you are like all of us members of the pack arrived at the conclusion that the talent of this group does not exist anywhere else in this musical sphere. Be it past or present. Many of us are from the 80/90 generation and the bands we loved in our youth and that are the most famous are swept aside by the extraordinary talent of this band. It's incredible but true.
Some say its unfair this band has this much talent in one band and to think this song was played in the middle of a 17 song set in this performance. Lovebites also won the Metal Hammer Golden God Award for Best New Band in 2018. Songs you have to check out are:

Chopin's song played by Miyako (guitar / keyboard) as an intro is "Etude OP10, No12", known as "Revolution Etude".
In 1831, a rebellion by some officers and civilians against the Polish government under the control of the Russian Empire, called the "November Revolution," failed due to Russia's direct intervention. Chopin will be informed of this news during his journey. He lost his place to return.
When Russian troops invaded Warsaw, Chopin's agents announced "Etude OP10, No12" in Paris. People called it a "revolutionary etude" because the agents exaggerated and promoted the song.
Miyako composed "Swan Song" with reference to this "revolutionary etude" and Dvorak's "From the New World".
Former ballerina Asami (vocal) wrote a poem inspired by "Swan Lake" based on the historical episode of "Revolutionary Etude".
"Swan Song" is a requiem dedicated to the warriors who fought to regain fatherland, and is a masterpiece that only LOVEBITES can produce.

Haruna the drummer and all the other members do this live for two hours in high heels without a sweat, keeping this energy and quality of the sound. I think you should try their non-power/thrash side now. No she isn't in this concert. Miyako was pregnant in 2021 concert in Tokyo. She wears flats mostly because she's so much taller than the others, at 5'-1". Or very low heels.

For “Swan Song” Miyako combined two of her favorite classics: Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” and Dvorak’s “New World Symphony”

Miyako not only plays both the piano and guitar at a world class level, she composed and arranged the song. This is definitely one of her masterpieces. For some background, when Miho, the bassist, formed Lovebites she wanted it to follow in the footsteps of the great 80s metal bands. Management wanted someone to help with the songwriting, so a experienced songwriter and keyboardist named Mao was brought in to collaborate. He was in a power metal band called Light Bringer that ended in 2014 ( the vocalist of the band was the very talented Fuki, now with Unlucky Morpheus). All of the bandmembers have written songs for Lovebites. Haruna, the drummer, has only written one which she had mostly composed prior to the band forming. All the songs written by Miho, Asami, the vocalist, and Midori were with the assistance of Mao. Miyako has written 22 songs for the band, including 2 instrumentals. She, however, does not collaborate with Mao. She writes her songs alone and creates the demos that she sends to the other members. She also writes fast. On the last full album, Electric Pentagram, she wrote 6 of the 12 songs and had submitted demos for all 6 before any other band member had finished their songs.
Miho has written, with Mao, about 10 songs for the band. Miyako, Miho and Mao were the creative forces of the band prior to Miho leaving. Miho supplied the direction and soul of the band, but Miyako ended up being the creative drive. Now that Miho is gone, Lovebites becomes Miyako's band. I also think that Asami and Midori will increase their songwriting. Midori and Mao were responsible for Glory To The World after Midori visited church services in Europe and was inspired by the music. I am curious how much Mao will be involved with the band going forward.
One major downside of Miho leaving is that Miho and Miyako will likely never cowrite another song. They only cowrote one song which is Break The Wall. It is easy to hear the best of Miho and best of Miyako combined perfectly in that song. Break The Wall should be the next song you experience.

Miyako may steal most of the spotlight by being a great composer and multi-instrumentalist, but without Midori being in such a perfect sync with her, neither of them would sound so awesome. Haruna makes drumming look effortless (and I bet that she then binges on food to regain all that energy). And Asami … her ballet moves make difference even in instrumental parts and her alto voice fits power metal perfectly. So much talent and beauty in this band. Let's see who replaces Miho.
@@vlastimil-furst Miyako is very good at sprinkling in classical composers into her songs. Dystopia Symphony is another Miyako masterpiece that I can't wait to see performed live. Somehow they need to get Jill from Unlucky Morpheus to be a guest musician on that song.
I agree about the other members of the band. Miyako and Midori form the perfect combination of Melody and Mayhem. Haruna is a beast on the drums. People seem to be surprised that a woman so small can be so athletic. There are a lot of short woman who are world class athletes, especially female gymnasts. Mary Lou Retton is also 4' 9". Simone Biles is even smaller at 4'8". Olga Korbut is a towering 4'11". As for Asami, she is the voice of Lovebites the same way Bruce Dickinson is the voice of Iron Maiden.

Asami, singer is 5'2" and did something like 16 years of ballet , and before Lovebites was doing r n b material by Mariah and Whitney in small clubs. Midori as well as mastering power metal, she does power lifting of weights and came 6th in a Body Builder Bikini comp in Tokyo, and yes she has formidable a six pack. I think they have all girls studied piano , and Asami has played a pit onstage too when the girls are doing twin lead parts. yes5 very talented girls. Miho the founding bassist is in all the clips at this stage.
Sorry but just to correct you.... Asami is actually 4' 10". The tallest member of the band is Miyako and she barely scrapes 5'1".
With her eyes closed!!! Miyako's closed her eyes while playing. The suicide blonde(dyed her own hand) is Midori. If she had to flex anymore, it's not just in the background, here it is live. Miyako also play's a pretty bass, and a little drums.

A great live performance of " Empty Daydream " by Lovebites give you a different, old style metal with great backup vocals and harmonies. My favorite.
This band is freaking incredible. Miyako is a prodigy on guitar and piano. They are all at elite level and beyond talent.

Haruna's nickname is Little Big Engine for obvious reasons. She wears gloves because she has to hold the sticks by the very end of the butt to reach everything and slipping is a concern she has. Also consider that she doesn't heel toe so her legs are going crazy fast the entire show.

Miyako played on a white Roland's electronic piano for the first time in this live. So she said that she had a hard time because it was very hard to play. It was not a satisfactory performance for her. (It sounds great to me😅) In my most recent live performance, I switched to a real grand piano, and this performance is still much better. It expresses the ups and downs of emotions more and has a different dimension from an electronic piano. You can see a little bit of it in the official trailer video of the live dvd, so check it out.
All of Love Bites' songs can be said to be masterpieces, but "A Frozen Serenade", which many people say is a masterpiece among masterpieces.

Fantastic reaction. Really. You wore your emotions on your face. At a couple of points I actually thought you were going to cry… and was hoping you would. You’re LoveBitten, welcome to the Wolfpack. I wish more reactors would be as committed as you. By that I mean many will say how talented the band is, but then trip over themselves to make sure they mention that Band Maid, BabyMetal, Nemophila are all good too. I know why they do it, it’s because they don’t want to alienate their audience who, it seems, listen to Japanese Metal in it’s entirety. Maybe the other bands are good, are talented, but, and this is the important thing, they’re not THIS good and THIS talented. Say it like it is. I’m 62. I make no apologies for saying that Lovebites is the most talented group ever to set foot on stage. And I’m a Rush fan of 45 years, have Rush images tattooed all over me. I worship the ground Ritchie Blackmore walks on. I have a tattoo dedicated to him. Naturally I have a Lovebites tattoo now, but my point is that as talented as the older artists are (R.I.P. Neil Peart) they are not as complete and were never as consistently excellent as Lovebites. Do I no longer like Rush? Hell no. But are there Rush songs I won’t play. Yes, quite a few. It’s not that I don’t like the song, it’s that I think they’re not up to the standard the band set. They’re album fillers. Lovebites have released almost 50 songs and, hand on heart, no bias, (and any long-standing fan will say the same) Lovebites have NO weak track. Not one. You’ll find that out yourself in time I’m confident. So again, great reaction, and I look forward to seeing many more Lovebites reactions from you. But I must apologise for not subscribing. I check every new reaction to the band every day, although if it’s on a channel where the reactor isn’t really engaging, or perhaps irritating, I’ll just give it a like without watching… out of respect for their respect of the most talented band in rock history. It’s therefore impractical for me to subscribe to all the channels I have seen, especially as it’s only their Lovebites content I’m interested in. Thanks for coming back to Lovebites and featuring this song. You won't get any argument here, their level of talent and virtuosity is unmatched in today's music scene. Some background on the piece: Chopin (pronounced Show-pan) was a Polish-born Romantic-era (1800’s) classical composer and piano virtuoso who lived most of his life in France. He is considered one of the greatest classical composers of all time. Miyako, who composes a lot of Lovebites’ music, is a professional-level concert pianist, and was originally going to make classical music her career. When she was 18, she picked up a guitar, and is now (quite obviously) an elite-level guitarist. She particularly likes the Romantic Era classical composers like Debussy, Dvořák, Chopin and Rachmaninoff. She composed “Swan Song” using elements of the New World Symphony (Dvořák) and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). All five members of the band are Jedi-level musicians, but I think Miyako is a once-in-a generation talent.

Bassist Miho and drummer Haruna are founders of Lovebites. Unfortunately, Miho left the band a year ago. They are going to announce the new bassist this month. I can't wait for this moment.
Every member of Lovebites can play piano, but I think Miyako is the best from them and she always plays piano on their performances. Sometimes the singer Asami plays a few notes on the piano during guitar solos.

Great reaction. Just put out new material, looks like they grew up listing to the Brazilian metal band Angra,. Very talented musicians. All classical trained, it's the pretty vocals with speed metal. The best!!

Just to clarify a few things. They don't look very animated in this presentation, they are quite serious, and that is due to the content of the lyrics of the song. You missed activating CC maybe to see the lyrics, CC was also available in your first song "Glory to the world" and you also missed them. But usually they show a lot more "joy" in their shows depending on the lyrics of the song. All of their songs are in English but sometimes it's hard to understand Asami (the vocalist) due to her strong Japanese accent. So if CC is available, it's better to use it.
Anyway, this and the previous one have been excellent reactions. If you are a lover of Power Metal maybe you should continue with "Holy War". Now, if you can stand Thrash metal mixed with Power Metal, you must see "Set the world on Fire", which by the way is one of their heaviest compositions.

They play many different Heavy Metal styles with a certain LOVEBITES sound, they revive the masters of the 80's (and 90's) in a fresh and modern way. LOVEBITES may have the most talented musicians around, all of them S tier. Drummer Haruna is relentless like a metronome, both Miho and Fami master their bass (for Fami's capabilities, you should visit "Alien Alien" from my list, it's in her CZcams channel will almost 700K subscribers), the dual guitars M&M (for Midori and Miyako) is most certainly the best duo for trading guitar solos and harmonizing, and Asami's voice is stellar with big range, powerful belt and good vibrato. She is also a trained ballerina with exceptional stage presence. One reactor caller her "Stage General", which is perfectly put. Hard, tight, fast, relentless, effortless and clean, that's LOVEBITES. Fasten your seat belt and enjoy your ride!
