- This is Part 3 of 3 Video Lectures on Cellular Respiration by Professor Fink. In this Video Lecture, Professor Fink describes the use of fats & proteins for the production of energy by Cellular Respiration. Reference is made to ketoacids, deamination, low-carbohydrate (Atkins) Diets, Diabetes, Insulin, hyperglycemia and ketoacidosis.

If I just would have bumped into his videos before my undergraduate in Biomedical Science. Now is what is helping me in my first weeks of med school.
There are exceptional situations in which contemporary humans except for hydration (drinking water), not eating solid food for years!
With this in mind as you can (theoretically) explain cellular respiration to such a model?
Many thanks to Prof. Fink!
Insulin decreases ketone levels in blood. Ketoacidosis is possible only when there is not enough insulin.
If I study MCAT using your channel, what other playlist would you recommend besides "Biology 3 Lecture"? thank you.
Thanks, thanks and thankssss :D
At 5:42 if amino group is removed, what is it replaced with? I remember Professor saying in a previous video that Carbon must have 4 bonds.
Usually the NH3 group is replaced with just an H (but it may be something else).
That's macromolecular interplay
